2025 Pats FA

Looks to me like the Pats are aiming at Will Campbell.
God I hope not. Not at 4. He is not that much better than the guys going at the end of the first.
Trade back, trade back, of all the years to trade back this is the one. The value in this draft is the mid first to the mid third.

We strengthened our defense, yet we only added 34-year-old Moses and the Bills' number four wide receiver, Hollis. Why did we select Maye if we weren't going to surround him with more talent?

I'd agree with you if not for the fact that today is the fourteenth of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-five.

I've kind of been thinking the same but if they go that route, I believe there has to be some kind of backup plan in the draft. Meaning they may have to draft another tackle, possibly even as early as the 3rd round assuming someone they like is still available. I know some will think that idea is crazy but for me, I've grown tired of watching the trash o-line the Pats have had now for multiple years.

While I like the Moses signing, he is an aging veteran who has had to play thru injuries in recent years so getting another tackle to groom as a future starter/swing tackle gives them a backup plan if Campbell has to kick inside to guard or if Moses cannot go for 17 games. I suppose Caedan Wallace could still turn into that guy but between the injuries and unimpressive rookie year last year, I would not bank on that.

I am also not real excited about the prospect of signing Cam Robinson but he would be an upgrade over last year's trash. Even if they end up signing him though, it would be prudent to draft a tackle somewhat early this year. Time to do what Bill didn't do for years and invest in the offensive line.

If pats are faced with Will Campbell or the d-line guy (mason something?) at 4, I'm more for trading back. however the talk seems to be that Titans are taking Cam Ward, so maybe Carter or Hunter are there at 4? they need a couple of high draft pick o-line guys for sure. Giants could take Scheduer at 3 for all we know.

There should be no questions about a Left Tackle taken at 4.
Will Campbell may very well be a starter. Well there are going to be several starting LTs drafted in the second round who aren’t that far behind him skill wise. He is not worth the 4th pick.
I hate drafting RBs and TEs in the first, but at least there are some guys in this draft who could be elite at those positions. Campbell is not a future top five LT.
