2025 Pats FA

I...don't know what 'reports' you're reading, but it's pretty clear Dobbs was brought in to be the #3, unless they can get a good pick for Milton.
Much to my chagrin, I think they are looking at trading Milton.

Kraft is opening the wallet big time. Echoes of 2020 except we are actually getting quality players this time.

For a 2nd round pick I'd drive him to Green myself. Anything less than that you may as well keep him. Maye's concussions are a liability already.

If they think he can develop further then keep him and develop him into an even more valuable asset.

I don't get the Dobbs signing. Why not just develop Milton?

The only 2 serviceable LTs left really are Jedrick Wills and Cam Robinson. Neither are close to pro bowl quality - although they're at least able to play the position at a reasonable level.

If those two are on the docket, don't be shocked by the money they get. The Titans broke the market on the backup they signed yesterday.
Did Bolles get signed and I missed it?

Jenkins would solidify our LG spot and make me more comfortable if we're less than solid at LT.

Spotrac has us $86 million under. That does not include Landry or Moses.
That should gives us enough to sign a LT and WR. Teams may still be cutting players for cap space.

We can still restructure some contracts to get more space.

There's no scenario where we'd need to create space. You could sign 3 LTs and 3 WRs and still be under the cap.

I'd also add Becton as a possibility on the OL. OG and emergency OT. Problem is that he plays pretty strongly right handed, and our right side is now in decent shape. So I'm still on the Teven Jenkins train.

Is there an LT or WR left out there worth signing?

LT: Robinson, Little, Wills, Bolles. If you're a Mecki Becton Truther, him. The corpse of Tyron Smith. More likely we get LG nailed down and coach around one gap on the OL.

WR: there's always some guys. But none that have enough upside that you'd want to steal reps away from the puppies and the chance that they develop. It's trades-ville for anyone who would be a real impact. AJ Brown isn't coming, because he's locked up for what, another 4-5 years? That alone spikes his value beyond what you'd want to pay. Aiyuk? I mean, I guess so. I could be convinced, but you're talking about making an impact in November. Right now we have 3 guys who at least belong on an NFL field. But we're looking at running a lot of 11 at the moment. Not the worst thing in the world, except when it's out of necessity instead of by choice.

Bolles re-signed with the Donkos.
