What are they doing at linebacker? They let go of three linebackers who got a lot of playing time, including starts on defense late in the season: Tavai, Jennings, and Gibbens. The guys they signed are ST LBs .

We haven't made a big splash in FA. And in looking at several top 100 FA's, there is no one left to make the splash. There could be a trade I suppose but that's unlikely.
I think that what we did was solid and made us a better team than last year, on paper. Now the draft will fill out the rest of the team.

To me he looks like what Jonnu Smith was expected to be when BB signed him a few years ago.
Can't run routes but has soft hands and runs hard. I'm assuming he's a capable blocker.
Pats will still need to pick high for TE in the draft based on the signing, though.

I had assumed the delay was waiting for June 1. Eagles will take a cap bath if trading Brown before then.
I can't imagine any deal that is finalized won't be a post-June 1xt designation. The Eagles aren't taking that kind of a bath.
