Interesting. They did stray a little from Josh's slot game for Diggs last year but Diggs still played the slot and they still had pop.

How's that all work without Diggs/Pop/Chism? Lots of Detroit and iform? And just force Boutte in the slot when you go more spread?

I think Doubs is your starting slot. I think DeGennaro was brought in to learn the position. Brown/Doubs/Boutte/Hollins/Williams/DeGennaro, unless there's a trade or injury or something. I get that Douglas is a likeable guy and had the one pretty good year a few years ago - but I think he really needs to flash something in camp this time around to stick on the team. It's year 4, if he hasn't figured out the slot by now, or how to stay upright after catching a pass, I'm not sure he's ever going to.

I think he knows the role and is better at it than anyone else we have. I think a combination of factors means less production than Jules or Wes created. For starters those 2 were insanely good at it. Also I think Brady preferred the slot way more than Drake.

That said maybe it means using the slot less but I still see value in having Pop in that role but it wouldn't take much to be convinced to just make it work with Brown/Boutte/Doubs instead since Drake seems to do better with those types of receivers.

Doubs played slot in GB on 18% of his snaps, so he has a history of Slot play.

Chism was the star of the Preseason & TC camp last year . He might be the odd man out, if they keep Boutte . He at the bottom of the depht chart . We already have a slot only option in Pop . Hopefully they can sneak him on the Practice squad .

I think we should just watch what happened in TC. A WR getting injured is not out of the question and it would be better to have a guy who already is in the system than to have to go get some one. Or even have to count on a guy who had not real shot to start with.

What makes you think that Nick DeGennaro is better than Douglass or Chism? He has not impressed in College or in TC.
 
I'm considering going down tomorrow depending on the weather. I can take the 87-90 temperature forecast just fine but if the humidity is high again, I'd be uncomfortable the whole time.

Yeah I just took the dog for a walk we cut it a little short.
 
I have a friend who's a browns fan and is in her seventies, and she went to browns training camp.Now that's what I call diehard, regardless of the weather!😄
