I have not felt this disappointed by a season since 1992. And even then, at least the players were trying out there.

Yeah time TBD🙄 when the hell can they flex it to that's less obtrusive?
I mean do the bills have anything to play for? kansas city's locked up the one seed.they should play this game at freaking 9 on sunday morning and let the bills go back to bed. And give us a good excuse to not have to feel that we should watch it.😄

I think (think?) Buffalo's locked into the 2 seed. So this would be a Saturday Morning Cartoon special, most likely. That's where they usually put the games when teams have nothing to play for.

Totally DONE with this "team". Kraft has fucked up this team twice since his ownership started. Once with the Tuna and once with Belichick. Both made this team winners, and Kraft through his micro managing ran both out of town. And hiring an unqualified person to coach the team and another to be the defacto GM. Again, totally done with this shitshow. I burned all my red sox caps jackets etc when they went woke, now its time for my pats gear, burning season in my town starts Jan 15, can't fuckin' wait!

In 1992 I was so use to losing that I can't remember being disappointed. It was bad but it wasn't unexpected because we were the Patriots. Whatever bad can happen, will happen. That was my expectation back then.
But I hadn't lived through 20 years of greatness back in 1992.
This year I'm very disappointed. Not by the won/loss record.
I'm disappointed by the malpractice that took place in the off season. First it was the firing of the greatest coach of all time. Then it was the hiring of a novice coaching staff. Then it was the choices made in FA and the draft.
In what world are you OK at LT with the dude that quit the team? And then put in Lowe to protect the blind side of the new franchise QB? And the other bozo on RT. Neither of these guys are CFL ready and should not be higher then PS NFL players.
I could go on but in my mind this year is worse than 1992.

Well said, PP.

I remember the one and two win seasons. I still watched, they were my team. What we have seen this season is such a bunch of bullshit I am okay if I don't watch a game. That has never, ever happened to me in the history of me watching the NEP. But it has happened this season and I don't feel bad about it like I would have prior.

Yes. This.

From a marketing perspective, the Krafts have managed to transform the Flying Elvis from a beloved underdog to a symbol of excellence and champions, to a symbol of almost comical incompetence and and frustration.

It’s not so bad guys, there’s plenty of hope in Drake Maye. He’s a legit franchise QB and that matters more than one bad season. I was a lot more depressed after season one with Mac despite the better record. To me he was obviously at best a JAG at the position.

Hopefully they get embarrassed by the Bills, secure the number 2 pick, and Mayo gets fired.
Hire a stud young OC, trade back, grab that top WR, and draft 4 Olineman and an RB.

Josh Allen is playing for an MVP. A 40 to 10 loss is possible.

The old days, we all kept supporting the team. They were a poor team in every sense of the word, maybe the poor man of the whole league, certainly the team with the lowest profile and well behind the other major teams in Boston. So when we got to the SB in 86, we were ecstatic but not under any delusions going into that game against the best D of all time. Beating Miami and screwing up Schula and Marino in the AFCCG was good enough! We knew where we stood.

What happened under Bill and with Brady as his QB was astonishing. The team went from being the poor man of the league to the 2nd most valuable franchise in the entire league. What has since happened has led a lot of fans like some above, to declaring they're done. I understand that. There is genuine fury at what has happened just in the past year and all of it down to the Krafts. The way Bill was run out of town with the media in Krafts pocket cheering, the appointment of Mayo, (a coach who had never even been a DC before), the other coaching appointments, the draft, (Maye apart) and FA and everything we have seen this season.

The Krafts had a team that was one of the biggest and most valuable franchises in world sport. And they had a huge, dedicated fan base as well. And they are literally flushing it all down the toilet. This is a crisis IMHO and I'm not seeing how the Krafts get themselves out of this.

Drake Maye could be Josh Allen/Tom Brady/Patrick Mahomes/Joe Montana all rolled into one - but the complete and utter incompetence from the coaching staff and front office means that it won't matter much.

Maye's been pretty awesome, considering he's a rookie. He's got one win this season. That's the reality of the Patriots situation.

But ,but, but it was reported that they had a nice locker room conversation after white made those comments. White is a real bb guy. that's the problem.
Obviously interesting comments.
I’d bet BB always had White in a better game situation.

I’m not sure what White is, a run stuffing DE with no pass rush?
Situational DT on passing downs only?

Great post. I go back to the very beginning of this franchise and I've been a die-hard fan since day 1. The Krafts literally saved this team from becoming irrelevant and they were a great ownership group for decades. Bob Kraft has been a major philanthropist through all sorts of local and national crises and, at heart, I think he's a good person. But, the last couple of years have also shown him to be incredibly needy and insecure. I'm sure Bill Belichick was very difficult to deal with at times, but he was also one of the greatest coaches of all time and he rarely, if ever, threw anyone under the bus and never denigrated anyone publicly. The way Kraft has repeatedly smeared Bill since their separation has been shameful and has damaged Kraft's legacy, perhaps permanently. Turning Bill Belichick into a sympathetic figure is no small feat, but Kraft has managed to do that. I hope he sells the team, but I know he never will. Anway, the whole situation is just sad and embarrassing.
