Amatuer Photography Thread

Another cool place we visited, Salvation Mountain. It's one of the coolest pieces of American folk art, religious or otherwise. It's located in Slab City, which is an abandoned WWII Marine base. All they left behind were the concrete slabs, so now a bunch of people live out of their campers for free out there, without water or electricity.

The creator of Salvation Mountain died a couple of years ago, but he left behind quite a legacy...

Tim, it's a great spot and a beautiful hike. Here are a couple more, note the formation toward the left of the first image, in the 2nd shot you'll see a climber on top of that formation.
