Are you happy with the Drake Maye pick?

There are two 23-year-old QBs that I can remember that have had seasons that would consider at least as good (or very close to it) that Maye has had this year.

1984 Marino
2018 Mahomes

That's my list.
How lucky is this team that after the Mac Jones situation that we were able to get a 2nd chance at a high draft pick and grab Maye?

How lucky were we after the mistake of Mayo that Vrabel was still available to come in here as HC? RKK is one lucky guy.

I figure I can use this as an aggregate drake maye topic thread. Here's the full interview from sunday night football, which they only aired tiny little clips of.

He's such a likable guy. Congratulations to his parents for raising their kids the right way. This is the 3rd time I've heard Drake mention that he and Josh Allen are close friends.
I feel good knowing he's confident enough to mention that freely.

I love Tom Brady.

His 01 doesn't belong anywhere on this list. Not even close. Also Jackson did win MVP in 19, but he barely threw for 3k yards.
Stastically no but he had the worst team of the 4 and won the SB/SB MVP.

I am over the moon with Drake Maye and how efficient he has been but right now, it's Matthew Stafford's MVP to lose. Over 4,000 yards with 40 TD's to only 5 INT's. Even if you factor in Maye's rushing (almost 400 yards with 4 TD's), I think he still falls just short.

I don't think it's impossible that he surpasses Stafford but I think a lot of things have to go right in terms of where the Pats and Rams finish up. For example, if the 49ers win out, they win the NFC West. If the Rams should falter again, they could finish 3rd in that division. If that happens and the Pats win their final 2 games, I think Maye could take the the MVP.

If the Rams and Pats both falter a bit and Buffalo sneaks in to with the AFC East, that could create a scenario for Josh Allen to sneak in but as it stands, I think it will wrap up as:
1) Stafford
2) Maye
3) Allen
