Arizona Teacher Makes Students Be Chivalrous

Girls are fragile, treat them gently. :shake:

Manners are one thing. A trip back in time is something entirely different. You should treat everyone with good manners, not just men towards women.

And like hell it won't be something that will ever be bad for them. I'm not the only woman out there who would not go on a second date with a guy who opened every door for me, stood up every time I got up from the table, waited for me to sit first, etc. An entire evening of that would make me sick. There's no way in hell I would go out with that guy again. Opening a door or two is great, but what this guy is teaching is just over the fricken top. And that goes the other way, as well. These girls are going to expect that crap and are in for a rude awakening when guys they date down the road don't treat them that way.

Congrats to this guy for keeping sexism and inequality alive and kicking.

What's on the agenda for next year... Teaching the girls how to be an obedient and dutiful wife?
I think you're overreacting here.

The woman changes the diaper; that is my only request/demand

I thought Greek men were into each other...

Q. Did you hear about the Greek boy who ran away from home?

A. He didn't like the way he was being reared.

Q. Why did he finally return?

A. He couldn't leave his brothers behind.

:lame:

and when you have a kid it will be yours too....you can do it

and cover the boy, cold air makes for a spray

We been over this mikie, I don't work like that lol

Actually I just thought of something. Most Greek men are arrogant and think their women should wait on them hand and foot. They are brought up to think the woman should be servant not Queen. That explains alot, also reminds me of why I don't date greek men.

I think some of that is nice, just like some chivalry is nice, but I wouldn't expect her to be my servant just like she shouldn't expect me to be hers. And the more she does for me, the more I'd show appreciation for it by doing chivalrous romantic stuff for her. And I assume vice versa.

As for MD's list, I would offer to do those things, but if she really wants to drive or really wants to pay, I'd let her. (ok, it would be harder for me to let her pay) I mean, if I insist on doing it myself despite her wanting to, what am I saying? It's like I'm saying she can't drive because she's a woman. Or since she's a woman she's not capable of earning a decent enough wage to pay for stuff.

it should never be about the more she does for me the more I do for her - never

it is about wanting to do things for her for absolutely no reason other than it makes you happy to see the reaction in her eyes. just doing things that are not expected of you
