Doing the entire show in Spanish was a stupid move, how do you attract people that have no idea who you are to your music? And the crotch grabbing is so fucking 80’s. Thank god for tv remotes.

I agree K-pop might be part of it next year, but the biggest thing I see in last night is everyone is like “we are diverse” so diverse they highlighted one genre of music. I’m not saying not having a bad bunny type artists, but include a country artists, rock artists, with collaborating in some songs. There is an option to mix all types of genres, yes that means bringing out a “dinosaur “ like ac/dc. The nfl crowd isn’t just young people, it is very diverse: old, young, international. Make them all happy.
I think they did that by having other artists perform at different times. Last year, Kendrick Lamar and all of the guests were rappers. His show was far more political.

What is not surprising on this thread (because it describes America today) is that people just can't believe that there are masses of people who think differently then they do. That "everybody" liked it or didn't like it, that "nobody" watched this broadcast or that broadcast.

We surround ourselves with like-minded people and seek out data and anecdotes that confirm our beliefs, rejecting others. It's on full display here.

This was really my point from the beginning.

I do not find Bad Bunny entertaining, I wouldn't pay $1 to see him in concert, and I would almost certainly change the station if a Bad Bunny song came on the radio. But he is a global sensation and a brand that is hell bent on also becoming a global sensation decided to bring him in to perform at the half.

Just chalk it up as a year you might not achieve peak entertainment during the halftime show. This wasn't constructed to be a march from Selma to Montgomery, it was an attempt to capitalize on an internationally renowned star. Period.

I think it was an attempt as a middle finger to the current administration and his followers. To make a long story short, 1/2 of the country has been demonized as a bunch of heartless racists, and if you have an opinion, that doesn’t match their opinion, you are a POS racist. Unfortunately, the television markets control the narrative, which is responsible for the decisiveness in this country and in this world. I do not see an end to the madness. Hopefully people wake up to what’s going on and realize we’re all Americans and we may have difference of opinions when it comes to how our country should be run, but there needs to be more respect and tolerance from both sides. I don’t see that ending anytime soon. Unfortunately I think we’re at a crossroads in this country which kind of reminds me back of the 1960s. It’s kind of cyclical when you think about it.

I paid about as much attention to it as I have the past who knows how many halftime shows. My only takeaway is I wish that they had provided subtitles so everyone knew what was gong on. 🤷‍♂️

Give it probably 3 more hours and Bad Bunny will have twice as many views just on YouTube.

Which is, of course, all of the views for Kid Rock, but only a fraction of the views for Bad Bunny

Kid Rock forgot to lip sync half the words to his one hit. Just... don't.

Dude....did you watch it?

I don't care about Kid Rock.

This is literally Less Than Zero Talent.....Bad Bunny has NO singing voice whatsoever. There are dads in the shower all over with better singing voices.

For all the folks complaining about singing in Spanish.... lot of Spanish speakers saying they had no idea what language it was, they couldn't understand a word of it.

Ah well, he sucks, just like the last year show sucked, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that. Consistency is there at least.

I didn’t mind watching Katy Perry‘s boobies

I think this might be a reach. And even if it was true, the response is to form a right-leaning halftime show of their own? If I really felt the NFL viewed me in such a negative light, I'd stop watching and supporting their product entirely. Forget a competing halftime show, stop watching.

I do agree that it's starting to feel like the 60's again but I don't think the NFL is necessarily perpetuating it.

Get your mix tape out there, then.

Seriously, last year's halftime show was entirely in English, and y'all didn't understand that one, either. :coffee:
