Bailey released....

If Bailey couldn't rush the passer, then he's dead to me. The Planet seems to have stopped asking "can he rush the passer?". It's no coincidence that the Pats have become mediocre at the same time.
Also they have a bunch of guys who can rush the passer.

A disagreement over a type of exercise? That seems almost childlike and silly on both ends.

Which patriot coach was demanding this?
I think the strength and conditioning coach would be the one to oversee which exercises each player does, but not sure how the tea comes up with the final regimens.

If a player refused to do the rehab required by the team, a suspension seems harsh, but not uncalled for IMO.

In this case, the big mistake was giving an extension to a guy who (from the above link):

"Bailey and the Patriots reached an agreement on a new four-year, $13.5 million deal early in training camp to keep him around through 2025. Coming off a so-and-so season, the team showed considerable trust in the fourth-year punter’s ability to bounce back.

"However, he could not. Bailey averaged just 42.1 yards per punt with a net of 35.2, finding himself near the bottom of the league in both categories. In mid-November, he was eventually placed on injured reserve because of a back injury.
"

You're right. It's silly on both sides, the Patriots for extending him, and him for risking $13 mil extension by refusing to do required rehab. IDK :shrug-n:
