Referees forgot the footballs and pressure gauges needed for Saturday's Chiefs-Patriots game ... so Massachusetts State Police gave the equipment a police escort to the stadium. "You can't make it up," Mike Reiss said.


I'm glad that the league has taken the pregame ball security so seriously
with their new chain of custody rules.

I wonder how much that detail cost...
 
As someone who used to do purchasing at my old job, I'd love to see the invoice line items for that one. "Balls: security detail"

I was on a plane. Where captain forgot classified documents. In his hotel room . I had to wait on the plane til he got them back.
 
The best part was the NFL denying that it happened. Baghdad Greg Aiello.
