Happy to report that I just finished the first draft of the first book in my trilogy.
The bad news is, I am only just now realizing just how much work it's going to take before it is ready for publishing, my original April '27 target is in doubt.
Now that I've finished the first draft, I'm still a little vague on exactly how to describe the genre...I basically invented my own genre that falls as a sub-category of "Trangressive", which is basically work meant to challenge the norms of society in a disturbing way, but mine is more about challenging norms in a more seductive and destructive way, and being irreversibly changed along the way.
So far, the closest match is "Literary Dark Erotic Cosmic Horror"....but that kind of feels like using a metric wrench on an english nut...it works, but the fit isn't quite right.
Anyway, I'm excited, and managed to push through a bout of neuropathy and tendinitis in my left hand and arm along the way, prompting me to get a new keyboard, and a wrist brace. So far, so good.
Congratulations!, Baron. I'll be looking forward to reading it!
Not sure he still does anything like this anymore because his hobby seems to be producing childrenDo we have any artists here on the planet?
I am looking for someone who does drawings, something along the lines of old children's' books, black and white only. Something appropriate for a poetry chapbook...a drawing on one side of the open page relating to the poem on the other side.
I just want a non-AI option for artwork, really. Someone I can credit in the published version.
Mainly, the pictures would be things like a crying wolf, a rabbit in a forest, and a steaming cappucino mug.
I have someone I can ask that I know pretty well, just putting it out there if anyone would want to do it.

@Brownfan80 used to do the planet comics. tagging him because he's not here very much during the off season.
Thanks for checking in on this! Glad to see you around!Thank you for thinking of me! I'm honestly too far out of artistic practice to offer to do it, though. <3
