You know, it's time for the Baron to whip up some batches of his famous egg nog...by popular demand it's sort of his job.
I thought to myself, "Baron, maybe some of the Planeteers would like a good egg nog recipe for the holidays."
This recipe came about mainly because I hate Rum, and I hate that thick, store bought egg nog. This recipe is more like a smooth Bourbon milkshake. It's deliciously dangerous.
So, here it is, a small holiday gift for all my Planet brothers and sisters.
24 EGGS
½ GALLON MILK
2 CUPS SUGAR
½ GALLON VANILLA ICE CREAM ( PREFER GOLDEN OR FRENCH VANILLA )
2 PINTS HEAVY CREAM
3 PINTS BOURBON WHISKEY
1 PINT BRANDY
1 SEPARATE EGGS
2 MIX WITH THE YOLKS 1 CUP SUGAR, MILK, CREAM, BOURBON, AND BRANDY
3 BREAK UP THE ICE CREAM AND MIX INTO THE YOLKS
4 ADD 1 CUP SUGAR TO THE EGG WHITES AND BEAT UNTIL FOAMY
5 FOLD EGG WHITES INTO THE YOLKS. DO NOT STIR.
6 LET EGG NOG REFRIGERATE FOR AN HOUR
7 MAKES ABOUT 6 QUARTS
