If they fire him mid-season, that's kind of bogus. I'm not defending BB either. If they wany to part ways, no problem. But it's not like they are winless, they are 2-3. Hell, they're technically ahead of Florida State in the Conference standings right now!

I don't know what made anyone think UNC would have a complete turnaround season in year 1. I certainly didn't and I am not even a fan of the school. Record-wise, this is about what I expected as I pegged them to be under .500 for the season.

I was reading Brady vs. Belichick. Prior to that I had read another book about the Patriots. I'm convinced we were all blinded by the success to realized that Bill is actually a pretty shitty human.

Yep. The entire NFL is full of them but we keep throwing our money at them.
 
Just watched the tail end of NBC Sports Boston's Early Edition. The final item was a question addressing the matter of who is more deserving of being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame first, Bill Belichick or Robert Kraft. The 2 responders, Marc Bertrand and Phil Perry, both opted for Kraft without hesitation. Their reasoning was that Belichick's reputation has taken a harder hit than Kraft's has. I guess the hand dookie at Orchids of Asia and "The Dynasty" shameful and embarrassing episodes never really occurred.

I guess I should not think that's unbelievable but I do. Who gives a shit about someone's reputation? are we gonna take OJ out of the hall of fame cause he's a murderer? This is about achieving excellence in your profession. Period. Bill fucking polian with ONE fucking ring is in the fucking hall of fame. Using a made up designation that was done in order to get him into it to boot. These people can really fuck all the way off.

Epic "TV time-filler take" by those guys. Both are HOFers. Everyone has their warts and I can think of more than a few Hall of Fame greats (players) whose careers ended with a wimper. Par for the course, it's atypical to be elected to the HOF when you are at the pinnacle of your career.

What Bill is doing now is a bit puzzling but the resume is still intact. What he did in New England would take decades to rival, if it will ever be done at all. Kraft is owner of a team that has participated in 11 Super Bowls.

Silly debate, they are both legendary figures in NFL history.

Parts of their arguments included RKK's age..."he may not have much longer and I'd like to see him in the HOF while alive. Bertrand brought up Bill without Brady without also
bringing up RKK without Bill. That argument goes both ways.
Bill's accomplishments in terms of SB appearances and wins as a coach will never be surpassed. Bill deserves it because he earned it, late midlife crisis be damned.

Spot on. We've all done it a million times: Take Brady, Belichick or Kraft out of the equation and what would happen to the other two? No way to ever know and too difficult to speculate.

I am fine with Kraft going in ASAP because of his age as well but never, ever will I think it was because he was more deserving than Bill.

Bill has North Carolina on a two game win streak. If they win two of their last three they will be bowl eligible.
