There’s definitely a whole lot of talk about Mayo recently. Lot of stuff talking how the Krafts rate him. These stories don’t just appear out of nowhere. We’re being told who Bill’s successor is in clear terms.

and it’s a brilliant choice if true.

This is a lot of speculation without much fact.

The last news was Mayo came back at a much lower title than fake pundits were claiming.

And remember how wrong media clowns were about Nick Caley as well.

Facts:
  • Steve Belichick has been the playcaller multiple seasons. Play caller is usually the main guy on any coordinator unit
  • Steve Belichick has turned multiple units into elite ones going back almost 10 yrs now. Whether it’s safeties, corners, entire secondary, outside linebackers, or entire defense, Steve Belichick has been great
  • Jerod Mayo’s defenses as a player routinely could not stop key 3rd downs. Jerod Mayo also never won a ring because the defense was not championship caliber

Being a nice locker room coach does not mean he’s suddenly the heir apparent.

Bill O’Brien has the most experience on staff and is the most qualified. BOB is the only one on the coaching staff to have been a NFL Head Coach and won NFL division titles in 4 different NFL seasons.

Hopefully there's a succession plan across the board.
Say Mayo does become HC, does BOB stay or leave?
For example, Klemm is the OC for the future along with a coach to follow in the footsteps of Klemm as the Oline coach, potentially.

In this day and age we need capable coordinators on both sides and the offensive side is more critical. Miami and KC have excellent setups in that regard.
BoB is probably gone in two years; BB and him may be gone in the same offseason

The media was also wrong about Josh McDaniels. Remember when he was the heir apparent?

I just love how you believe that only you have the ability to see the facts, no mater what is put in front of you. It reminds me of someone else. I just can't seem to quite put my finger on it. :goodell-icon:
