Flores, Mayo replacements?
depends on coach's title if team has to allow interviews i believe. at least in the old days, the job had to be a promotion of the current team could refuse.

I would not mind him as an OC for the Pats.

I mentioned that in the post-game handshake featured on Hard Knocks a few weeks back, Bill could be heard saying "I'll call you" to Kingsbury,
who makes no secret that he is a huge fan of Bill and vice-versa. It's the perfect job for him to get himself re-established as an HC candidate again and he knows
our system and what is expected in Foxboro. He also has a reputation as an innovative play designer and had built a high-powered offense before the wheels
came off the wagon in the desert.

I'd be good with this.

I wonder will DeMeco Ryans go back to his old team, the Texans, as HC? He’d be a prime candidate surely? They lived him there, rightly and he has a real connection with the team.

I think he's smart enough to not touch that wasteland of a franchise. Not to mention the Texans fired two black HCs back to back, so it doesn't set a good precedent.

Reports indicate he's not interested in the Texans' HC job despite playing for them and being DROY. He's looking/hoping for a HC job elsewhere but he's very happy being the 49ers' DC for now. He has said he will not pursue the Texans' HC job.

Eagles' DC Jonathan Gannon is currently the front runner to be the Texans' HC. He interviewed with them last year and almost got the job then.

If he's not interested, it's a truly damning indictment of that franchise. I mean Houston is the 4th biggest city in the US and only one of two teams in football-mad Texas. They should be so much better yet they continually underachieve.

Kingsbury is gone, confirmed

BB grab that phone and get on to Kliff ASAP, an ideal candidate for OC, and someone who could pass knowledge on to a potential replacement if Kliff decides he fancies another HC gig at some point.
