Black Monday - version 2021

I'm so happy Miami were stupid enough to drop Flores. He had two winning seasons and his teams always played very tough. Unless they have a plan in place this was a huge step back by them. Gotta love it.

Flores fired yet their GM Grier stays.....makes zero sense. Surely Chicago will take a serious look, he'd be a Bears kind of guy, defense focussed etc.

This may be the dumbest move Miami has ever made. Ross flirted with Watson for the first half of the season right up until the trade deadline, causing confusion on the team. Flores then rights the ship. Ran into The AFC #1 seed, which is the only reason they didn't make the playoffs! WTF was Ross thinking?

Didn't Grier have a lot of questionable draft picks...

Having a lot of money is no indicator of wisdom or intelligence...

They're saying that Flores is out due to a bad relationship with Tua and Grier. One can only speculate that Tua resented the discussion about Watson.

Talk now is this must mean Aaron Rodgers will be playing in Miami.

Flores in Chicago would be intriguing to say the least.

Hope you enjoyed winning, Miami. Because it will be another decade or so before Ross lucks into another hire. :coffee:

Flores' 24-25 record is good for 4th best win % in Franchise history.

The last time Miami had 2 consecutive winning seasons were 2002 and 2003. They were the 2 of the 4 winning seasons Stephen Ross has had since buying the team in 2008.

Outside of WR and TE, it's not like Miami has any other top-end talent they can fall back on, either. (Your mileage with Xavian Howard may vary, I guess)

Houston.
Watson is loving this.

How can Miami be so stupid!

This is the same person who tried to get celebrities to buy pieces of the team, so people would actually go to the games. They went to the games (shockingly) when the team started winning and trying hard.

Edit: Also he was 4-2 against the Patriots. No one's done that since Shula.
