Boston Bruins hockey

Exactly. There isn't that much difference between teams that make the playoffs.
Every game is decided by 1 or 2 plays it seems. A bad pass, a clear that never got out or like we saw the other day a brain fart where the entire forward line changes at the same time opening up a free break in on our net and the score.

2 goals on mistakes in a space of about 3 minutes doomed the Bruins, courtesy of Swayman and Lohrei. And in fairness both goals were an extreme price for relatively minor transgressions but that's the price you pay at this level. But the B's could have won this one. Brazeau and Frederic came to play and so did Marchand, McAvoy and Pasta. Tons of ice time in the Rangers zone but Quick made the plays he had to bail NY out and the Bruins hit 2? posts? Getting tired of losing all the close one's though.

What does mcavoy actually do out there? I hope they consider trading him. I think he's overrated. And overpaid.

Bruins signed Kastelic to a 4 year contract which I think he deserves, he’s a solid player and not afraid to drop the mitts when needed. Now if they just get their $6.6 million goalie to play like one they might have a shot at the playoffs.

The only good thing about last night was Pasta lifting Tavares' stick, stealing the puck and scoring about 30 seconds after Tavares buried Pasta into the end boards and Knies went down and scored his second goal. That guy is a free agent at the end of the year and would be worth a hard look. Mitch Marner could be available too but Toronto is looking to throw 8 years and 104 million at him. He had 4 points last night and would look good here. McAvoy looked lost last night. I don't know what his ice time is but he looks tired. The D in general has not played well the last 4 or 5 games. Hell, No one has really. Does anyone think Swayman would have taken a contract amount leaving enough for Ulmark now? Marchand looks old and slow. Frederic played well for the second game in a row.

I don’t want Marner, he’s consistently inconsistent and we have enough of that already. I think Sway set this team back with his greedy holdout and he’s not performing like an $86+ million goalie. Was really hoping they would win last night as Toronto is one of those hated teams almost up there with Montreal. Get a win today and get back on track and please play Korpisalo in net.

1 point in 5 games isn't going to get it done. They are sinking like a stone. If they keep going like this. Maybe we will get a new GM at the end of the year. I stopped checking the standings. It hurts too much to see. On a positive note. If they don't make the playoffs. At least we won't have to suffer the humiliation. Of losing to the leafs in the 1st or 2nd round.

Believe it or not they are still 3rd in the Atlantic but it won't be for much longer as Tampa has 5 games in hand. I've pretty given up watching them after last night, I feel like I'm wasting my time thinking they will right the ship but it only gets worse. It's like they have no idea on how to play structured hockey.

An 8 game losing streak is a real possibility. The next 3 games. They have Tampa, the panthers and Tampa again.

No doubt about it, I'm not sure if I can put myself through that after last night.
I put the game on. And go in another room now. Then I pop in and out to see what's going. I can't just sit and watch the games like I was. It's too depressing. Most of the players are signed up for long term deals with no trades clauses.

I ain’t gonna lie, I do check the score but don’t expect to see anything positive when I do. They have really fallen off the cliff these last 5-6 games and it’s too depressing to watch.

Its one thing. To have a shitty power play. It's another to be giving up shorthanded goals. :poop:

I’m getting the feeling that splitting up Ulmark and Swayman destroyed this teams confidence and now we’re seeing their true colors. I believe the losing streak will hit at least 8.

I was always a big fan of having two goalies of that caliber on the team. Linus would step in and slam the door shut after a Swayman tank job and vice versa. I think the confidence they inspired in each other was a very private club and they really miss each other after being split up.
