lol, i don't think so. He's the worst drafting gm in the NHL. The bruins consistently have one of the worst rated farm systems in the league. He doesn't deserve slack. Ten years is enough. He needs to be fired. Imagine how you will feel. After he butchers all those picks. And he will. And the way he handled swaywomen was pathetic. All he had to do. Was take him to arbitration again. They would have had him. For two more years. And cheap money. Now they are stuck with him. And his 8 plus million a year contract. Sweeney sucks.

I was at a U2 show the night Colorado won the Cup. all of the band came out in Bourque Bruins jerseys for their encore and announced to the crowd that the series was over.

Looking back, it was equal parts awesome and pathetic; pathetic in that "welp, since we can't ever win, let's trade one of our legends to a team who can" kind of way. This was June of 2001 so Boston sports was in a bad place. B's, C's and Pats were 5th place division doormats and the Sox were about a .500 club (having just watched the Yankees win their 4th ring in 5 years). That was a tough stretch. Amazing how things changed from that fall onward.

Panthers do look way too good (or Hurricanes not so good).
I don't want Panthers to repeat but looking at the three teams left, they clearly have no problem handling Carolina. could Dallas or Edmonton make it a series?
I would typically root for a "Hockey town" liked Edmonton, but something about the Stars winning would would give Jerrah heartburn
(To Be fair, I saw a cool story of the Dallas O-line at the game in a luxury box. one guy in particular is a huge Stars/hockey fan. I remember back when Nashville was in the cup finals and Titan's big guys were shirtless drinking beer out of a big catfish!)
