And I think they are 0-4 on shootouts. It's terrifying. And with the OT win they are now 2-3 in OT. So they cough up the late goal and then lose in OT.

It blows my mind. They are one of the best PK teams in the league. But when the other teams pull their goalie, they can't keep the puck out of the net. And it's always with seconds to go in the game.

Is there a bigger cherry picker in hockey than Austin Mathews? He stays away from the dirty areas and waits for someone to pass him the puck so he can shoot it into a wide open net, he scored both his goal that way. So glad Marchey ended it knowing how much they hate him and with less than 8 seconds left in OT!!

The Bruins need to find someone that can win a damn faceoff in the defensive zone otherwise their problems clearing the puck will continue.

I remember revenge for the previous year sweeping the Flyers. Also being much more afraid of Tampa than Vancouver. And the difference Thornton was when they put him back in the line up starting for game 3 in the finals. Most of the liberties ended right there. When they won game 6 in the finals game 7 in Vancouver was over before it started, plus Burrows cemented his place in the little bitch HOF.

horton was never the same after that hit. He was so good in the playoffs that year.

I don't see OT being the problem here, it's their inability to get the puck out of their own end that has cost them this season. Swayman is the reason why they didn't lose in regulation last night.

They're not as good as their record, so games like this last one are going to keep happening.

I agree. Some injuries and some guys making huge contributions early. Goaltending is keeping them in games.

I heard Mike Millbury saying it's time to trade Ulmark to fill in some offensive talent. I'd hate to see him go, but they need a goal scorer.

I've heard a lot of people pushing that idea, and it's got merit. The downside of such a move is that this team is built around having two top-level goalies. If you move Ulmark, you force Swayman to play a lot more, and that could wear him down. So, my guess is that this is the conversation that keeps getting repeated in the Bruins' front office as they decide whether or not to make the move. Do they have a good enough #2 if Ulmark moves on? Can they get Swayman signed to a long-term deal if they move Ulmark? Etc...
 
My sister took the kids to see Santa yesterday and ran into Brad Marchand!!! He was there with his 2 daughters. She said he was really nice about shaking their hands, and she said that they didn't want to take pictures because the trip was all about the kids, which he appreciated.
 
Matt Poitras has been sent to play for Canada at the World Juniors, hopefully he doesn't get injured in the process.
