Boston Bruins hockey

With the OT 3 on 3 format the guy shooting HAS to hit the net. When the puck misses the net it completely sets the other team up as a second attacker is charging the net for the rebound and is out of position to help in the defensive zone when the puck whips around the boards on it's way out to your own goal. This is what Debrusk did last night. He missed the net, the rebound went out of the zone setting up a 2 on 1 the Wild scored on. Jake pisses me off a lot.

I hope they trade debrusk. He isn't reliable. Losing that game last night sucked.

He shot the puck with an opposing player right up in his grill, totall unnecessary and it cost them a point. These overtimes are all about possession and if you don’t get possession you aren’t going to score. Last nights game was very winnable but once again they find a way to lose.

Fact is, until they figure out how to clear the puck out of the defensive zone consistently, they will NEVER win a title. Thats the true fact of the matter. How they don't have this as a point of emphasis is borderline criminal.

Brad Marchand passed Bobby F*ckin Orr on the all-time Bruins parts list vs the Wild the other night. He's currently 6th with 889 points. Rick Middelton is 5th with 898.
Bobby still holds the NHL single season plus/minus record at 124 for 1970-71. Orr is also 2nd all time in career plus minus at 582. Larry Robinson of the Habs is #1 at 722. Marshie is # 33 on the all time list at 290 plus minus.

Of course thats all part of it. Bergie was 19 once too.
He was. And he got in the gym. And worked his ass off. poitras looks like he hit a wall early. He looks tired and physically over matched. Hopefully it's just his young age.

I'm sure it is. He is like a rabid dog going after a bone when he sees the puck. I'm not worried about him at all.

5-1 v the Jets they beat 5 straight times. Even with the early playoff exit last year Boston is a team other teams compare themselves to. They get up for a Bruin game. Other than comparing the goal with 7 seconds left to almost the same thing as Jakes gaffe against the Wild I have nothing constructive to contribute here today.

Big comeback tonight, and definitely one that was needed. five straight after falling behind 2-0 is just what the doctor ordered.

That was a nice win. Detroit is a major pain in the ass. I hope the bruins don't face them in the playoffs

I’m really confused by that goal that was allowed after the Detroit player clearly interfered with Swaymans glove before the puck went in the net. The official explanation was the player was outside of the crease thus no interference. That’s simply not how it works but apparently if you’re Detroit you can interfere as long as you stay out of the crease.

They later said. Carlo caused the contact. You are correct. You can't interfere with a goalie. Even if he's outside the blue paint.

I have a photo from the Stanley Cup finals in '13 against Chicago when a Blackhawks player pinned Rask down in the net, zero call...a minute or so later or pretty quickly they scored. It was a was bad.
