Cam Tests Positive to COVID Today

I’m thinking this is whole fucking season is going in the tank soon.

Looks like the game is postponed

Postponed for sure. The NFL is holding out for Mon or Tues night but that's not smart with the Chiefs QB Ta'amu testing positive today whether there are more positives or not.
The 5-7 day lag between having it and testing positive for it is the key.

This is just bullshit all the way around.

Reports are that any patriots player in close contact were tested and have come back negative.

What a hammer blow this is.

Yeah depends on when he got it and how safe they were, it can take up to 3 days for a positive test to come back. They need to test them everyday

Is the postpone to see if anyone else gets it? No way thats enough time for Cam to come back. I knew this was going to happen. Titan players are still popping up.

Why? Stidham has to know this offense a bit by now shouldnt he.

Hoyer has been around the system for a while. Plus Stidham was injured, so I'm assuming not enough reps for him to be deemed a starter.

Hoyer has been the 2 all season with Stidham inactive. So that points to Hoyer.

If Newton is asymptomatic, he can return five days after his initial positive test IF he returns two consecutive negative PCR tests at least 24 hours apart. This is the one scenario where Newton could play next Sunday against the Broncos.

If Newton is asymptomatic, he can return 10 days after his initial positive test. That would mean he'd also miss New England's Week 5 game versus Denver.

If Newton is symptomatic, he can return 10 days after his initial positive test IF at least 72 hours have passed since he last showed symptoms.

Put simply, the earliest Newton can rejoin the team is Wednesday if his positive test was Friday. If he doesn't return two negative COVID-19 tests at least 24 hours apart, though, he can't return until Monday, Oct. 12, at the earliest.

If the NFL can't reschedule the Patriots' Week 4 matchup with the Chiefs for this Monday or Tuesday, then there's a world in which Newton doesn't miss a game. But it's very possible that backup Brian Hoyer will start for New England in the near future with Newton sidelined.

All other Patriots’ tests returned negative tonight, source tells ESPN.

I just heard Mike Florio say on Football Night In America that the NFL will be investigating the Patriots for COVID protocol breaches because of Cam's positive test. So the Titans and other teams aren't on that list?
