Celtics

The Celtics have had the most consistent ownership group in Boston sports over the past two decades. I'll be sorry to see them transition out.

Celtics have been sold! 6.1 billion!!

Probably checked for loose change under the couch cushions. 😆

Even you have to be impressed they're winning these games with these load management lineups.
Scheierman is getting a lot of minutes. They have some flexibility in their playoff lineups this year. It's not just 5+ Horford, Hauser, and Pritchard. That's the core, but they could stretch to 9 or even 10 if they need to.

This team has really shifted into playoff mode. That said, I'm moderately concerned that their only recent losses have been to the Cavs and OKC. They should shift out of load management mode for at least the last 5 games.

It's been good to see them getting a handle on who can be in the playoff rotation if necessary. We knew the starting 5, plus Pritchard, Hauser, and Horford. Looks like Scheierman and/or Kornet could get minutes if necessary (or if a blowout makes it possible.

The load management has also made for some interesting lineups. I didn't hate Horford and Porzingas with Brown, Jrue, and White. Also, Pritchard and Scheierman had good chemistry together as a backcourt.

The first series or two should still be warm ups for this team. I don't see any potential surprises there that should threaten either the Celtics or the Cavs.

I have not been watching entire games as of late but I turned on the Spurs game the other day and was surprised to see Tatum, Brown, Porzingis, Holiday, and White all on the floor together at the same time. Gave me the warm and fuzzies. They did sit Horford and Pritchard in that game but all 5 starters reached double-digits, as did Kornet and Hauser.

I don't think you'll see an end to the load management based on the recent scare with Tatum's ankle, if nothing else. (And believe me, I hate load management in the NBA)

I am not predicting they will beat the Cavs or even OKC but I believe Holiday and Porzingis sat during the recent Cavs matchup and they were just dreadful from 3 (20 for 63) vs. OKC while only getting to the line 1/3rd as much as OKC did. Even if they beat both of those teams in a 7-game series, I'd brace for ugly L's like that during those series.

It's definitely a 3-horse race to the title this year.

With the Bruins out of the playoff picture this year I've been watching as many Celtics games as I can and this last road stretch was pretty impressive considering how much they are resting their key players. The only thing I'm worried about is how long will it be before Porzingis is injured again.

Shut your damn mouth!
