College football 2023 thread

Even Florida dropouts are smart enough to not leave Florida for Massachusetts. That’s a nice, gay little mug, though.

I'm glad you like it and that you're willing to admit you find gay things attractive.

Dude, you have fucking anger issues. I mean, we can’t all be trashy states like Florida.
I’d rather be in the education and technology capital of the US, thanks, than give a crap about college football.
Who is angry? If you read that as an angry post, you’re just reading it with angry eyes. And LOL @ Florida being trashy. Migration patterns re: both states determine that is false. Almost 5% of Harvard enrollment are students from the Sunshine State, too. But keep living the dream. It’s great to pay out your nose in taxes every year for the “privilege” of being snowed in for 6 months. Sounds sweet.

You can thank affirmative action for that.
:coffee:
And snow’s awesome.
Jacksonville? LOL.
You’ve never been to Jacksonville Beach if you don’t think it’s nice. Search house prices around here. My house is worth well over $1M and I bought it in 2013 for more than half of that. I do, however, travel to Massachusetts quite often. At least once a year. I have family that live in Newburyport. It’s not what it’s cracked up to be unless you like a lot of white people afraid of their own shadow. Seems like the kind of place that would reflexively lock their car doors if they saw a black dude. Lots of beta males.

Ya, well you Floridians aren't smart enough to wear masks when walking around other people. You're a bunch of super spreaders! Dangerous. And your guns. Guns are scary. I will call 911 and go back in the closet to hide if there is an intruder, Thank you very much! You also have a lot of people speaking Spanish down there. That sounds awful. We are more enlightened up here about other cultures. We don't live amongst them, but we study them you white supremacist.

While we are living in perpetual gray for the next 6 months, you will have to fight off the horrors of skin cancer from too much sun.

Florida. Pfft!

I have to say as a non US person, I always found Florida to be incredibly tacky. Full of nouveau richer people with no class. California was always so much nicer for me. An American colleague once told me, you know why people live in Florida? Because they can't afford to live in California. I'm sure that's not true anymore with house prices in Florida.

And with climate change, Florida will get a lot worse for its inhabitants. I live in a cold, damp island in the North Atlantic. But the way the world is going, I'm glad to be here. No extreme weather or issues with water shortages etc. I'm sure folks in the northern states of the US feel the same, they're glad to be in places with proper seasons and good farmland and ideal conditions for food and water.

…not tacky at all…

I don't blame them. Toasted Palmetto bugs pack a surprising amount of protein and most
Florida dropouts are able to handle simple tools like a net and a blowtorch.

That’s a nice, gay little mug, though.

We prefer to think of them as inclusive mugs up here, but I understand you have your own ways
of showing regional pride.

Florida is supposed to have been under water for the last 50 years now. Maybe one day it will happen, but I highly doubt it. Historically, global warming has been a better period for mankind than global cooling. Crops die off, famine and plague run rampant.

The problem in Florida is depleted fresh water sources. Water wars began decades ago. It's only getting worse w/ saltwater intrusion. Both of us live in coastal towns. The windstorm insurance rate astronomical increases are driving retirees out of their condos. Not all is well in FL.

Yeah the insurance issue is a real problem that needs to get sorted out by the free market. As far as depleted fresh water sources? I’m a PM at a utility up here. We’re about to implement reclaim technology that they use on the ISS at scale to replenish the Floridan Aquifer. I wouldn’t worry as much about that since we are not the only ones doing this. FPL is cooking up something similar.

When you come to the College Football 2023 thread to read about...you know...College Football. And then have to double check yourself because you thought you somehow accidentally clicked on the Political clown show forum. 🤦‍♂️
