Way too many to even remember.

Lot's of ganjha back then to boot! Stuff was cheap, and so were concert tickets.

Just about every hard-rock/metal act that rolled through, at least once and sometimes multiple nights, from '83 to early '90's.

Haven't been to many recent shows. Saw FF/RHCP at Great Woods a couple of years ago and then FF by themselves at the Pavillion.

Will not miss Metallica this time around.

I've been to so many there's no way in hell I could remember all the bands.

I hear ya. Not only do I not remember the bands..I dont even remember who drove.

Speaking of driving.

I do remember one trip. I'm pretty sure but not positive it was for Motley Crue opening for Ozzy in Providence. Irregardless, I know we were headed to Providence. We've got the typical caravan of cars headed down and me and 3 buddies are in his little Pinto/Chevette/Whatever the hell small car it was.

He had had a broken rear window so just the day before he had gone to the boneyard and replaced it himself. So we're bombing down 195 W headed to Providence, got a cooler full o' suds we're sippin' on the ride and someone yells to light one up. Of course I had nothing rolled so I yell back to roll the windows up so I could spin one quick. As the last window nears being rolled up completely the vacuum effect or pressure change or whatever sucks the newly replaced rear window right out of the car, smashes into the front end of this little MG riding behind us about 35-40 ft and disintegrates!

Old codger riding w/top down is irrate! Pulls up next to us and he's flashing a badge and pointing to the side to pull over. F$ck! We pull over. He turns out to be some court officer or something, thank god not 5-0. Checks his car. No noticable damage, and we're on our way in minutes. Of course while we were pulled over and after he rolled, I rolled! Good times for everyone and a story to laugh our asses off about.

I have a box with all the ticket stubs from shows I've gone to, I was looking thru them and didn't remember seeing some of them:shrug:

I used to have that. And then I looked at it one day and said "What the hell am I hanging on to that for?" It had everything. Concerts. Sporting events. The works. Then I tossed it. Stupid. Now I try to think of some of the stuff I've seen and can hardly remember!

I wish I had started saving those from way back. I've been to so many I always forget some bands I have seen. Now I just try n get the guys to sell me those tshirts they have with all the bands on em for 5 bucks. Usually at the end of the night it works :)

It's funny, First time I saw him, I was hesitant to go. But, I learned that if you forget the soundtrack stuff he did in the 80s, like "Footloose" and such, his actual catolog of music is amazing. The guy has soul... I was shocked, and have been a fan ever since. In fact, one of his songs, "With this ring" is gonna be my wedding song when I get married. :thumb:

Alright here is my list which I feel like I have posted before. More than a few of these I have seen multiple times.

.I've only been to two and going to a third late this month.
Genesis

Tom Petty

Eddie Money: later this month

There are shitloads of concerts I wanna see though like Journey minus Steve Perry or Foreigner

In order:
Deep Purple - March '85, first show. Worcester Centrum.
Billy Joel - Jan. '87 - 6th row on floor at the Centrum. Was booed when he mentioned the NY Mets winning the World Series over the Red Sox!
Joe Walsh - June '88 - SS Music Circus - he was half in the bag, great concert!
Debbie Gibson - July '88 (took my then 9 year old sister along with my ex girlfriend).
MeatLoaf - April '89 - he came to my college - Southeastern MA University
Rod Stewart - May '89
The Who - July '89
Ringo Starr and the All Starr Band - Aug '89
Rolling Stones - Sept '89 - Great Woods
Paul McCartney - Dec '89 - at Madison Square Garden
Paul McCartney - Feb '90 - Worcester Centrum
Paul McCartney - July '90 - Foxboro STadium
The Smithereens - Dec '90 - came to SMU
Eric Clapton - April '91
Bruce Springsteen - July '92 - at Brendan Byrne Arene in NJ. Tremendous.
Jimmy Buffett - July '94 - Great Woods
The Eagles - Aug. '94 - Great Woods
Barry Manilow - July '95 - Barry couldn't hit the high notes anymore. Tons of hot women at the show.
Jimmy Buffett - Aug '95
James Taylor - Aug '96? - Zzzzz. Boring show.
Jimmy Buffett - Aug '01
Paul McCartney - April '02 - at the Garden, Best. Concert. Ever.
Eagles - July '03 - 90 degrees in the Garden - Eagles insisted the A/C be shut off because it hurt the harmonies.
Stones - Sept. '06 - show should've been titled, "Mick Jagger and the 3 dead musicians formerly known as the Rolling Stones.

Three best:
McCartney - 2002 - a 59 year old freak singing every song in its original key and not missing a note all night. He plays in concert like he's having more fun playing, than you are watching him.

Springsteen - 1992 - played all his great songs - this was the tour supporting Human Touch and Lucky Town CD's (both underrated albums) - without the E street band. Much better without them.

Eagles - 2003 - Joe Walsh took over after the intermission with some great ax work.

Two worst shows:
Eric Clapton - 16 songs in 2.5 hours. Every song was at least 7-8 minutes long. The guy can really play guitar though.

James Taylor - great singing voice, the show is better for sleeping than Tylenol PM.

I can't even fathom the number of concerts Ive seen, but here's some:

Metallica (several times)
Judas Priest
Queensryche
Megadeth
Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Faith No More
Bon Jovi
Pearl Jam
Live
Alice in Chains
Lynyrd Skynyrd (several times)
Aerosmith

Huey Lewis
Van Halen

Many more I can't remember right now

Stevie Nicks-Boston Pavillion
Pat Benatar-Hampton Beach Casino.

Up coming.
The WHO -Boston Garden (or whatever it is) 10/24
The WHO- Sun Moheggan 10/28

Since the 60's...egads I can't count that high.

best times were the Boston Tea Party. Imagine seeing big name bands with only 300 people in attendance

Stand right in front of the stage. (not too close if Townsend is playing least you get a foot in your mouth).
