I wasn’t until I got a cat. Then I got another.

Early on. Lori and I had two great kittys. But after her pregnancy with Anne, she was immediately highly allergic to cats. We worked like crazy to find them both a good home together. Thankfully we managed.

And we have since learned to admire kittys from afar. And boy has the interwebz been a Godsend re: that.
