Dave Andrews -- 9 yr career w/ NEP's

2 Time Super Bowl Champ (y)(y)

leading up to 2024 he averaged playing 15 games per season

last year he made it 4 games before landing on season ending IR

playing on an OL w/ a bunch of useless, talentless slob-bodied POS's :cuss:

led by a useless, talentless joke of a "CEO" HC :shake:

I wonder why now? And if it's salary cap related since they've already blown so much load on day one of FA..

I'd say Strange is probably the Center this coming season based on this move.

Isn't there an Andrews 2.0 already on the roster at that position?
 
Last report on Strange that I remember was that his snaps were horrible.

Agree on the sad part of Andrews release.
 
While I understand it from a performance perspective it's never easy to lose such a lovable player. Locker room presence. Leader and a champion.

Fond memories of an undersized, undrafted free agent turned into a two time Super Bowl champion.

Yep, he's got a red jacket waiting for him when he hangs it up.

It was pretty sad watching him play before he got hurt again, to be honest. I wonder if he retires or tries to hook on somewhere else.
 
Sorry to see him go. A little surprised we didn't see a center signed in FA leading up to this. So much faith in Strange/Brown/J Andrews?

Injury prone lately, health issues, age, etc.

He was pretty good for being undrafted. Great leader.

Apparently he was told that he was going to be released a while ago.
 
David is the type of guy that we all want to see make it. Undrafted and a little undersized but worked hard and became a starter and leader in the middle of the line where things get a little nasty at times. And by all accounts a really good guy off the field.
