Great Googly Moogly, it's the Chefs.

This should test the new server.

Don't be surprised if we get some visitors from Chiefsplanet this week and feel free to head over there, just warning though, their culture is a bit different.

Hopefully if any come here, they come to be cool and not with the same old cheater crap.

Should be a great game.

Some early comments from Chiefsplanet. Going to be a long week.

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=297415

Will our locker room be bugged? Will our footballs be deflated? Will they be taping our practice?

**** them for sending us Scooter

Chiefs equipment staff is on high alert.

We beat the brakes off those deadbeat cheaters

Our Dline will own that makeshift line of theirs. This game is very winnable. Probably +3.5 Chiefs

KC could give NE fits if their passrush shows up. It will be interesting to see KC play against a capable offense and to see if KC's offense can respond if things don't start off well.

Refs will be against us.

Our defense will be having butt sex with Brady by halftime...

We're going to Foxboro to literally break the Patriot way. Like anal rape break

To be fair, the farther you go into that thread, the more real football discussion there is. If any Chiefs fans visit here, I hope that is what they bring. Most of us did not know a lot about the Chiefs this year until watching the game yesterday.

They're just feeling all bubbly because they destroyed the Texans (who didn't even belong in the playoffs to begin with). I want to confidently say the Patriots aren't the Texans, but after the Miami game, and being unsure if JE will be 100%, or even 85%.... IDK. If we show up hot, we'll destroy them. But if we show up lackluster like in games 11-16, then this is a very winnable game for them.

KC's best weapon against Houston was Hoyer. That game did not get out of hand until the 4th quarter when Houston starting packing their bags for the winter.

At halftime, the offense had generated 2 FG's. Maclin is the best wideout they have and at a minimum, he has a knee strain. Even if he's lucky with the MRI today, he's not going to be able to run or cut very well.

I have no idea about Justin Houston. He had been recovering from an injury and I saw him hobbling during the game. If he and Maclin are less than 100%, that's a huge blow to KC.

In the end, it will be more about the Pats health than the Chiefs'. If the defense is at full strength, which it should be, then KC will have a very tough time moving the ball.

Nothing like playing an AFC South team to give a false sense of bravado. The dream becomes a nightmare on Saturday night for Chefs.

I wouldn't be so confident. You have to remember, this is a handicap match we're going into. It's gonna be the Patriots vs Chiefs (w/ Refs), so unless we TOTALLY blow them out and leave no room for question, the refs will have their back all night long making things unecessarily difficult for us. Bet on it.

Lol. Some of these responses sound little better than what UT posted from their board.

The Patriots offensive line is at best, suspect. It doesn't matter who dresses at RB or WR. If Brady has a crowd of Chiefs in his face in less than 1.5 seconds, like in MIA, he wont be able to release the ball at all. The possibility of Houston not playing is huge. Their secondary is very capable. It is my hope that while BB was resting players on that O line the last couple of weeks, he was practicing them to build continuity. A decent performance by the O line and the Pats offense should be ok. But that is a BIG if.

Offensively, as Bid said, the Chiefs were not that impressive. And again, with a ding'ed up Maclin, and a much healthier Pats D, the Chiefs score should be held down.

My bottom line is this game is going to be close and fairly low scoring. Mistakes will determine the winner.

edit: I do want to point out that even with all those turnovers, the Chiefs were not able to capitalize on the Texans mistakes until well into the second half.

Something I just learned at the mothership which is pretty amazing. This is the first playoff victory for the Chiefs in the history of Chiefsplanet.

Pats open as 5 point favorites.

McD should come up with some different looks for our offense for this game since we know from last year that KC's defense can handle our usual offense. I think McD has been doing exactly that for the last 3 weeks which is why our offensive game plan was so vanilla for the Jets and Miami games.

---------- Post added at 10:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:07 AM ----------

**Over the course of their 11-game streak, the Chiefs have trailed in just 7:28 of the 330 second half minutes they've played.
**Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, the team's top pass catcher, suffered an injury to the ACL in his right knee during the win Saturday. It's not definitely a torn ACL, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Maclin is scheduled to undergo an MRI Sunday. Even if it's a knee sprain, his availability for the divisional round may be in question. That's a major hit for Kansas City. Maclin caught 87 passes for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns during the regular season.
**Star linebacker Justin Houston, among the league's best pass rushers, returned from a five-week absence Saturday. He seemed to aggravate the knee injury that kept him out, but returned after missing nine plays. At least one informed observer didn't think Houston looked like his usual self.
**Outside linebacker Tamba Hali, dealing with thumb and knee injury, played only 15 snaps versus the Texans.

Man did I underestimate the Chefs. I watch them 2x every year, and they're, well they're the Chefs. And that is usually not good. They always play the Broncos hard, so this years loss was just another Divisional loss. But yesterday I saw a team that was ready to play. And their defense is really good. I think the Pats are going to have their hands full. At 5 point favorites, I'd take KC, but straight up I think I'm taking the Pats. But watch out, the Pats could come away from the game in bad shape.

The Chefsplanet crew is usually pretty solid. One of the few fanbases who both know football, and aren't a bunch of raging douchebags, on the whole.

Stop with this crap, seriously. We're better than loser's lament before the game even ****ing starts.

Probably because they don't have anything to be raging douche bags about. One group thinks they're great fans, the other groups think their Dbags. The Chefs have been irrelevant for how many years. I know in other sports here in Colorado, Baseball for example, you won't hear much from the fan base because the team absolutely sucks and is an embarrassment. Just a thought.

Wasn't their last win PRE-Intenet?

Almost. The internet was kind of a thing, but it was pre-World Wide Web.

Joe Montana and Marcus Allen carrying that band of misfits to the playoffs was amazing.

Good grief, if they were playing your Donkeys you'd be touting a completely different line of bs. The Pats remember that embarrassing loss in KC last year and will be ready for a little payback next Saturday night, bank on it.
