Do people believe in the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny or magically deflated footballs or special cameras that other NFL teams don't have?

So, Hogfarmer.....I saw you around today and figured you'd check this thread if I bumped it and I have some news.

I recently caught a show on the History channel called "The Proof is Out There" and it was a well-done and balanced show.

The centerpiece is a hi-tech restoration of the original Patterson-Gimlin film, which most of us have seen.

Much has been said and written about this film and it's authenticity or not, but the restoration provides us with two crucial pieces
of evidence which had been hidden from view before this much more stable and enhanced film was made public. In short, those two things are
butt crack and jiggly boobs.

Rather than enhanced detail of zippers or proof of subterfuge we get a clear image of a Bigfoot's hairy butt crack in all it's glory. That was previously unseen as far as
I know. And when Patty swings around to peek at the camera we get a much more enhanced view of a set of unmistakable, undeniable wobbling jugs.

I mean, folks had noticed breasts on our girl before, but I actually got a chill down my spine when I saw Patty's rib rockets rolling and jouncing like a braless Wal-Mart chick in a Tweety Bird hoodie.

The reason I got excited was not that I am interested in motorboating her primate waghorns, but because it proved to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Patterson-Gimlin
film is 100% real and, therefore, so is Bigfoot. It would not have been possible for a couple of broke cowboys to pull that off even if they thought of it, which they wouldn't have.

The show premiered on 12/3 and I'm sure they'll rerun it soon enough. I highly recommend you and others who are believers, skeptics or just curious check it out, but especially I want Boston Tim to watch the footage I described and explain to me how that could possibly be a costume. Tim is definite skeptic, but he is a smart and fair man and I wonder whether he
will change his mind.

Not a hoax, after all and now there is proof.

I just looked the show up on my Cinema App. It's actually in its second Season and the episode aired on 11/03, originally, so I added it. Thanks for the heads up on that episode.

I have not seen that, but I've had no doubt the Gim/Pat footage was for real. Thanks for the heads up. Actually watching "Bigfoot is Coming to Town" right now on the Travel channel.

I felt instinctively that the being captured on that film was not human just because of the way it moved, the unusual stride and the musculature visible. I feel like you could
put the best special effects people in the business on that same patch of land and tell them to put a person in a suit and try to recreate it convincingly and it would still look like a human pretending to be a bigfoot, although with enough money and time they could probably come fairly close. The guys who filmed this had no chance of coming up with an even
reasonable facsimile. That dog just don't hunt. The butt crack and boob jiggle sealed the deal for me, but a lot of people just don't want to believe for their own reasons and it's
always interesting to hear the reasons folks come up with. Like the expert that said the fur was "too shiny". Really? How would you know what Bigfoot fur or hair should look like?

The footage we've been watching was grainy, unstable and blurry and this show mentions that the original film was lost, which I didn't know, and what we've been watching all these years
is a poor-quality copy. That is a pity, but the cleaned-up version is significantly better, so I think everybody should take another look and decide for themselves.

Too Bad Inspector Middie 51 turned into a giant asshat, he could have cleared this up for everyone :coffee:

Well, to be fair he didn't actually turn into one, he was always one to begin with...

Sorry, missed that. Admit that with the new technology there is more to see, BUT,,,

I believe I have read a lot of stuff from both sides of the question, though I'm surely no expert of any sort.

There are new species of living creatures being discovered daily, most of them very small and found in remote habitats. Even larger previously unknown creatures,
(birds, mammals, reptile, fish, etc) are often identified.

The Q, iirc, is do I believe. I've explained my primary barrier to belief. The creature, this 7+ ft. hairy hominoid has theoretically been roaming the western North Americas for millions of years and avoided any close encounters of a 3rd kind with us humans ( not to mention the Abdominal Fauxman and all the other world wide variants).. The question of it's actual exiistence has assuredly not been proven. Given that, it seems belief is a personal subjective. I won't mock anyone for believing but for now, I still do not believe.

Not much of an answer to a well presented question but it's the best I got.

Cheers, :toast:
