NFLN actually has a few guys who aren't retarded talk about football from time to time.

The only time I watch ESPN anymore is for MNF, and even then only if it's a game I REALLY wanna watch.

:Lecture: There are 3 different kinds of irony

1. Verbal irony is when an author says one thing and means something else.
Example: It's raining Cats and dogs and BT says "What a nice day"

2. Dramatic irony is when the audience knows something that a character in the literature (OR PLAY, OR MOVIE) does not know.
Example: In the movie The Truman Show BostonTim is aware that Truman is the main character in a TV Show, but poor Truman doesn't (though he gradually puts it together)

3. Situational irony is a discrepancy between the expected result and actual results.
Example: BostonTim correctly Observes that Easterbrook doesn't deserve his own thread then goes ahead and starts one.

I'd rather have them ballwashing Eli 24/7.. I think the Pats and TB have been noise level to the media for quite a while and it suits me fine.

It's been Rodgers / Brees / Tebow / Eli all season, and it can stay that way.
Not that I pay any attention to ESPN or NFLN anyway.
Let the casual fans enjoy the networks and their BS.....

Nah its just been about Eli vs Peyton stuff. I think it started out as a joke and it grew legs. As with most fans, they are all about the flavor of the week. 2 weeks ago, it was Brees is the greatest thing ever, now he loses and its Eli is the greatest thing ever, Brees cannot win on the road etc etc. It does not take the media and fans long to drop a guy down the rung.

I would probably care if Easterbrook's column wasn't atrocious, he didn't hate every team, and it wasn't riddled with nonsensical bullshit.

I generally enjoy listening to what Charles Davis and Mike Mayock have to say, but most of the former players and coaches working for the network are painful to watch. If they aren't blatantly biased in their opinions (hello Marshall, nice Denver pick BTW), they spout off loud, annoying proclamations trying to imitate the personality that Deion brings to broadcasts.

I tune into the NFLN from time to time because it is 24/7 football, but I'm rarely interested in what the on-air personalities actually have to say. It is very obvious that the NFLN went out and got a few intelligent, professional analysts (ie. Davis and Mayock) and then has proceeded to fill the rest of its roster with any random ex-player/coach looking for some work.

Listening to Dennis Green the other night was definitely a "WTF, they hired this guy?" moment.
 
Green is clownshoes. How the bleep that man got a HC job...like EVER... is beyond me.
And I'm with you, love Davis and Mayock.

Skip Bayless is a clownshoe, too.

Charles Davis is a very polished persona on camera. Off camera, he's an avid Ravens fan, being from Baltimore. He came up with 'Suggs vs Uggs'.

Mayock is great on tv with his informative commentary.

I know, ESPN has gone way down hill since the first time I watched the network at about 3 am, a broadcast of the Idaho Little League World Series, circa 1985.

So the trash man comes and takes my garbage and wants me to either grade him, or take a survey.
Response: I never grade and I take ZERO surveys. One way oor another, we pay for everything. We owe them nothing besides that. I've not asked before but I would guess I'm far from only one fed up with this and doing the same.
