Edelman Selected to Pats HOF

Faulk was better for longer than Butler. I have no bad feeling towards Butler, but he didn't do enough to get a red jacket. I LOVED how he played for a very short time, but no way he deserves the jacket.
Agree. But forever in the conversation for greatest play in SB History.

I am not dying on any hill over this because I am not necessarily of the belief he will ever get in anyway. But his play was every bit as iconic as "The Catch" and "The Immaculate Reception" in terms of all-time NFL lore. And he followed that up a Pro Bowl nod the next year, and then followed up his PB season as a 2nd-team All Pro. This guy was not David Tyree, he was more than a flash in the pan.

He is as deserving as a player like Kevin Faulk.

And certainly as deserving as the cheerleader coach that is apparently in the Patriots HOF. :shrug-n:

Butler isn’t close to Kevin Faulk. Faulk was a first down machine for years. As clutch as they come and proved it season after season. I’m glad butler made that play and appreciate whatever additional contributions he made. Can’t say I’m thrilled with whatever the hell he did to get his ass benched for the Super Bowl.
I put Troy Brown and Kevin Faulk in the same basket. Absolute solid dependable and made the play damn near every time.

Have to agree this should have been AV’s time. Love Edelman absolute legend glad he’s in but hope Adam gets his due soon.

Here's another one that I got to thinking about for the Patriots HOF. Malcolm Butler. Yes or no? He had a pretty short run with the Patriots but was generally considered a great player during that run. He also had a tremendous impact on the Patriots. Without him, they have one less Lombardi. :shrug-n:
Pete Carroll makes more sense…☕
