I basically agree with this. Getting a collection of the most competitive people who have gone their whole lives injuring themselves for their hyper-competitivity to just suddenly lay down...unless you think college is also fixed, I just can't buy it.I'll go against the grain here....I don't believe for a second the NFL is fixed. I know that might annoy some people here, but it's my opinion.
For the NFL to be truly fixed, it would take a significantly large conspiracy between many, many people. A large number of people working for the NFL, including the match officials, the betting companies, and the teams themselves, along with the players. Even if it were just a few players in on the scam, it would still add up to a big group of players. Whatever way you slice it, it adds up to scores and scores of people.
Now, human beings are human beings. And that amount of people in on a scam would not stay secret for long. Leading players get consciences; they have a road to Damascus conversions, they become ill and want to confess, they fancy a bit of publicity and want to get the attention, you name it, any conspiracy involving a lot of people never stays secret because of who we are as humans.
Now, there is favouritism, yes. And the Chiefs, being the number one team, and Mahomes, being a poster boy, gets some decisions that others may not. But that's not a conspiracy IMHO.

Of course you don’t…I'll go against the grain here....I don't believe for a second the NFL is fixed. I know that might annoy some people here, but it's my opinion.
