Gamete Thread - Jete @ Patriots - Sun. Sept. 19 1PM (CBS)

Neither front was great this week and ffs....TACKLE!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬
mac w/a couple rookie goofs, but he spoils us with how good he is already.
there is almost nothing as divinely emasculating to another team as harris' run. sooooo sexxxxy...rb porn. 😛
100%

My Lion fan buddies are already pissed. Calling me spoiled and lucky.

They're not wrong.

Feeling very good about the Saints game.

My apologies to our Jets members. Your Qb was brutal with a capital B. Even Sanchez never looked that bad.

This team is going to frustrate us most if not all year long. There are a lot of new pieces and they are going to make mistakes before they gel. They are already better than last week, and as long as the progression continues they will be in the hunt at the end.

Should be interesting to see if the defense can confuse Winston and revert him to his Bucs days.

It's been a very long time since we have watched a rookie QB lead the Pats.

As good and as efficient Mac is, I think we need to be patient and let him and all the new pieces develop. Play calling will be conservative. Mac is being told to not take too many risks, and he is choosing the safe play. As he should.

The patience now for the development of this team should pay dividends down the road.

A win is a win and I think most of the Patriots wins this season will be closer than we would like.

I agree UT. We have to be patient here, Mac made some mistakes, he could have been called for intentional grounding at one stage which would have been a big blow at that stage. And some pundits have said, Bill will have a word with him on that Harris TD, saying he should no way do that again, joining the pile. He has to be careful out there wherever possible.

This is a very new team. Defense, the offense, all of it. The Patriots always start slow anyway and by Halloween we typically have a good understanding where the team is. It will be that and more this year. Mac needs time to get the understanding with the TEs and receivers etc. The defense will need time to develop.

Agreed. Expect ugly wins and losses. At least today was a win.

No, it was ugly. It was a win though. It should have been a blow out.

What would a blowout?

Being in control most of the game and winning 25-6 kinda seems pretty good to me. :)

I am not sure that I would say they played better than last week.Sure ,we won but it was the Jests. We cleaned up the dumb penalties , but over all , I thought last week was more efficient. There were areas in both these games that were lacking , and it's the start of the season and the rust needs to be knocked off. That said , that excuse won't hold up on week 6.So , my point being is that I didn't necessarily see great improvement and honestly, we don't have any real glaring issues.I just think we are ,where we are.We need to tighten up and I don't think either game shows that we are where we want to be yet.Just my opinion 🤔
