Goodbye Alaska! Hello North Carolina!

Well we’re at our first month of living in NC, the people here are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met and we’re slowly learning our way around but these roads will take some getting used too.
The wife and I are also a bit worried about our household goods we had shipped from Alaska, we’re going on 8 weeks and after weeks of trying to reach the moving company we finally got ahold of them and found out our stuff is sitting in a warehouse in Washington state. I’m beyond livid but I’m afraid if I take some steps agains them we’ll never see our stuff again but this is beyond ridiculous. We are leaving in the morning to go visit my wife’s cousin in Rhode Island and our stuff is supposed to be here in NC when we get back in a couple of weeks. Other than the shipping issue of our household goods, everything has gone pretty smooth.
That's ridiculous! What was the initial quote as to time?

Sorry about your shipment getting held up. Hope it works out quickly.

RI is a beautiful state. The fishing (ocean) is excellent right now if you can work in time for it.

They told us 6-8 weeks but what really got under my skin was when he told us our stuff was still in Washington state. They picked up our stuff on the 1st of June and was put on a ship a couple days later. We left Alaska on the 14th and took our time getting to NC, roughly 2 weeks on the road. Zero communication from them since they picked up our household goods has made this a lot more stressful than it should have been.

Complete bullshit.

There’s a nice place called the Foxy Lady nearby also. The drinks are ice cold and so are the wives. :coffee:
