Grog's Pick'em 2019

Thursday reminder. Some of you have not made your picks yet. That is all.

Another hotly contested week is in the books. This week ended in a 3-way tie between Scott Mallory, Rachel Russell, and Dan Morency, each with 10 correct picks. Scott wins the week based on the tiebreaker. John Glasgow and Patriot In IN finished 1 game behind for the week.

The season standings show Dan Morency all alone in first place with 35 pts. Right on his heels are Bmooney54 with 34 pts and Col Crunch with 33 pts.

There is a log way to go and a lot can change. Get those picks in by Thursday.

Good luck!

We had another 2 way tie for first this week between Chad Massoth and Meg Moore, with Meg winning by the tiebreaker. That's the second win of the season for Megan.

The season standings show Bmooney54 with 42 points and a 2 pint lead over Colonel Crunch, Dan Morency, Meg Moore and Chad Massoth.

Remember there is a game this Thursday night featuring the 6 times Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots and the greatest of all time QB Tom Brady, so get your picks in before the big game.

Sorry for the late notice this week. I've been busy at work.

Week 6 saw another 2 way tie for first place, this time between two old coworkers of mine. Alex Polley and 2015 season champion Andy McNutt tied with 11 correct picks, Alex wins by the tiebreaker. Bmooney54 finished just 1 back, allowing him to maintain his #1 ranking in the season standings with 50 points. Second place belongs Alex with 50 points. In third are both Col. Crunch and Meg Moore with 48 points each.

Get those picks in today before the Thursday night game. Good luck!

missed last nights game... no power, no net... and couldn't remember my log in stuff to try and get pics in via phone... got this weekends pics in though, so that's good ... have to make sure I'm still in the running for Mr Irrelevant

Week 7 saw another very competitive contest with 5 people correctly picking 10 games. Julie M gets the win by guessing the tie-breaker score exactly right at 33 points. Thank you Jets for not scoring. Alex Polley, Dan Morency, Mike Mo, and Meg Moore also had 10 correct picks this week. Great job and the Morency family was well represented with 3 people in the top 5. Maybe a trip to Vegas or the new Indiana Sports Books is in order?

Bmooney54 gets knocked out of first this week with the strong showing by Alex. Alex now takes the season lead with 60 points, followed by Bmooney54 with 59 points and Meg Moore with 58 points. Lurking just 5 points behind are Col Crunch and Dan Morency with 55 points each.

There is a game again this Thursday night, so get those picks in on time. Good luck!

I don't mean to be picky, but some of you need to be. Get your picks in today, There is a game (sort of) tonight.

We had a couple of new comers battling it out for first place with 10 correct picks in the pool this week, with John Mickelini edging out Brennan Angle and Ron Smith by the tiebreaker. A whopping 7 people were just 1 back with 9 correct picks including Patty R, Ras, Rachel R, JeffF, Mike Mo, Daniel L, and Bmooney54 . Nice job everybody.

Three people did particularly bad this week, but we'll spare them and won't call out Dan, Grog and Col. Crunch for their bad week.

For the season, Bmooney54 regained sole possession of first place with 68 points. Alex Polley sits one back with 67, followed by Meg Moore in third place with 66.

Get those picks in and lets see if we can shake up the standings.

8 out of 14 would get you an F (57%) on a test, but in Grog's Pick'Em this week, it was good enough for an A, giving Dan Morency his second win of the season. In one of the toughest Pick'Em weeks yet this season, Dan edged 4 players who hit the 50% right (or is that 50% wrong) mark with 7s. Coming in tied for 2nd were Jeff Freeman, Daniel Leniha, Ras, and Mike Mo. Colton Mickel set a new record for low score with a 2 this week - which is just as hard as getting a high score in this format. Well done!

Thanks to everyone around him also having mediocre weeks, Bmooney54 maintains a 1 game lead over Alex Polley and a 2 game lead over Meg Moore in the season standings. Can he hold on to that lead for 8 more weeks?

There's only 12 games to pick this week. Let's see if anyone can top 60%. Good luck!

What do some people do with their noses?

They pick them!

You should do the same with Grog's Pick'em pool. Get your picks in while the picking is good. There is a game later today.

You can pick your friends. You can pick your nose. But you cant pick your friends nose.

Cheers

10 out of 13 right (77%) was enough to win the pool this week. Congratulations to Chad Massoth for his 1 point victory over Mikie Mo. It was a big week for Chad as his Dolphins even won, at the expense of the Colts. Finishing just 2 back were Jeff Freeman, Andy McNutt, John Mickelini, Patty Russell and bmooney54. Nice job everyone.

Bmooney54 is on a season long hot streak, having never won a week, but finishing tied or near the top almost every week. He expands his lead in the season standings to 3 games over second place Alex Polley, 81 to 78. Still within striking distance are Jeff Freeman (77), Meg Moore (76) and Chad Massoth (75)

With 7 weeks to go, anything could happen. Get your picks in before the Thursday game this week and good luck.

Happy Pickday everyone. It's a great day to make great picks. So get picky. Pick. Pick. Pick. And don't forget to pick.

That is all.

12 out of 14! 85.7%! Rachel Russell became the first player this year to get 12 right, edging her cousin Megan by 1 point in this week's pick'em pool. Andy McNutt, Patty Russell, and Brennan Angle finished 2 back with 10 right each.

With another strong finish, Megan pulled with 1 point of Bmooney54, who currently leads the league with 88 points. Sitting in 3rd place with 84 points each are Alex Polley, Jeff Freeman, and chad massoth. There are still 6 weeks to go, so plenty of time to make a move up the leader board.

On a side note, Colton Mickelini, winner of the 2017 season and runner up in 2018, finished dead last for the 2nd time in the last three weeks as he continues to struggle mightily in 2019, currently sitting in 23rd place, dead last among active players. Makes you wonder what changed this year?

Get your picks in before the Thursday night game between the Texans and Colts.

Good luck!
