It’s a new year.
Consider making 2021 a better year than the previous one. To make it better, it might be good to first do the following:
Recognize your right to live for your own sake.
Recognize your right to enjoy happiness.
Recognize the value your loved ones have for you.
Recognize and acknowledge what others do well.
Recognize that what you dream of doing, creating or producing is what YOU do well.
Recognize that there are others who want what you do well, and will pay you gladly for it.
Recognize the fact of the world around you. Think about what you see. Listen to what you hear.
Recognize the beauty of the order in existence.
Recognize that your life is not guaranteed, but that with the application of reason to the affairs of your existence, you improve your chances for survival, prosperity and happiness.
Recognize that the lives of others belong to them. And sometimes when you meet and share something, it can be wonderful.
Recognize that your life belongs to you, and no one else. Pursue your happiness—it is your highest moral purpose.
Recognize that your happiness needs no justification. Happiness is its own justification.
Recognize that you must take responsibility for everything you say, do or fail to do—but most of all, for how and what you think.
Recognize that by taking responsibility for your mind and your life, you take control of your future and, barring accidents, your destiny.
Recognize that you deserve nothing less than a bright, sunlit happiness, this year and all the years of your life.
