You r spot on. The 57 is the icon but the 58 design was imo a thing of beauty. Loved the curvee taillight zones. My neighbor, Stan, an assistant DA for essex county, had a White 58' impalla (maybe Bel Aire) Convertable, red leather interior. Stunning I just loved it.

The Bel Aire had 2 tail lights on each side.
