In Celebration Of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick & The New England Patriots

This comparison may be even better. This one shows Montana thriving in Walsh's West Coast Offense. Now that's a system QB if there ever was one. Brady's offense was more diverse and often changed from one game to the next. Brady = GOAT.

BB's personnel management has made the Patriots the most efficient team over the last 15 years of all MLB, NBA and NFL teams according to this study. Another reason to celebrate BB (and Caserio).

NFL payroll efficiency rankings

As good as the Spurs are, the title of most financially efficient sports franchise of the 21st century goes to the New England Patriots — the reigning champs and winners of three other Super Bowls in the past 15 years. The Patriots have also won over 70% of their games since 2000.
What puts them at the top of this list is how relatively little they’ve had to pay for their tremendous success: New England’s average payroll has been among the five lowest in the NFL. With an index score of 2.06 (yes, they’ve been more than twice as efficient as the average team), the Patriots are the most financially efficient team among the three largest U.S. professional sports leagues.
At the other end of the spectrum are the Detroit Lions, whose middle-of-the-pack payroll and league-lowest winning percentage earned them a payroll efficiency index of 0.60.
The NFL is America’s most popular sports league and the money reflects that. Since 2000, NFL teams’ roster payrolls have totaled over $47 billion — 67% more than the NBA’s and 28% higher than MLB’s, despite baseball’s lack of a salary cap.

I think the first view I've seen where the videographer had the sense to linger a few moments on the pile. :thumb:

Here's something about BB that doesn't get publicized so often. I've only posted the first couple paragraphs, as it's worth clicking.

Winning Strategy
Why is Bill Belichick smiling these days? It’s not just those Super Bowl rings.

BY MATT MARTINELLI

It’s hard to surprise Bill Belichick. He’s prepared for the first two minutes of a preseason game. He’s prepared for a two-minute drill during an October practice. And he’s prepared for the final two minutes of a Super Bowl. But he didn’t see a moment in early May coming. And the result was what all those people close to the Patriots coach say is a common sight away from work: A smile. A big smile.

Three months after winning his fourth Super Bowl as coach of the New England Patriots, Belichick rolls up the sleeves of his gray hoodie and scribbles a few notes on a sheet of paper. He’s in the back corner of a hotel reception room near Gillette Stadium, and his girlfriend Linda Holliday, executive director of the Bill Belichick Foundation, is introducing him at the podium. Belichick trots to the front of the room to deliver a speech to some of the 18 scholarship winners and nine grant recipients from his foundation, which gave out more than $100,000 in its inaugural year to football and lacrosse players and organizations. He’s relaxed, at ease, reminiscing about how football helped his father avoid life as a coal miner, cracking jokes about the winter snow and how “everyone’s got me outdressed today.” He might as well be a politician making a stump speech in New Hampshire. Then he asks the recipients to speak about how the money helped their work. And that’s when it happens.

. . .

Open Letter To The Haters Of The New England Patriots Everywhere

Posted on August 21, 2015 by Joe Gill

Dear Legions Of New England Patriots Haters,

You know who you are.

You work in Bristol, CT or on Park Avenue.

You live in Indianapolis, Baltimore, NY, Pittsburgh or one of the other 27 NFL cities.

You think the Patriots are cheaters, schemers and rival the Nazis for the vilest tyranny that the earth has ever seen.
Bill Belichick is the devil bugging locker rooms and Tom Brady is the boogie man hiding in the officials’ room with a needle.

That’s your skewed perception, so let’s chat about reality shall we?

You are jealous of the model franchise of the NFL and perhaps of all sports.

You hate Robert Kraft because he has a built a 4X Super Bowl champion out of the former laughing stock of the league….yes the Patriots were pathetic and were within a whisker of becoming the St. Louis Stallions (we WERE you, but we got sick of sucking and did something about it).

You despise Bill Belichick because he can out-coach the other 31 JV teams in his f’n sleep. Don’t hate him because he knows the NFL rule book better than his own children (You stop whining yet, John Harbaugh?).

You find yourselves crying in the shower and throwing toddler temper tantrums because the Greatest Quarterback of All – F’N – Time, Tom Brady, carved up your defense AGAIN like a Thanksgiving Turducken.
And he is living the ultimate American dream (GOAT, married to a super model & has the perfect life) something you can only rub one out to.

It’s not TB12’s fault, your existence absolutely sucks.

So instead of bitching, moaning, whining, and pointing fingers New England Patriots Hating America, why not look at your own teams?

Glass houses anyone?

Cowboys and Broncos fans, your teams cheated. Sorry to break it to you, mickey mousing with the salary cap is worse than deflating footballs.

Jets fans, why not get angry that your team hasn’t had a half decent signal caller since Ken O’Brien in 1991? What about Geno Smith….oh wait…

Colts supporters, why not get upset that your franchise is completely content with coming in fourth and raising a banner to celebrate it?

So instead of jerking it at home and crying yourself to sleep because you will never get the pretty girl, why not go out there, throw her over and make her yours….

That is exactly what the New England Patriots have done to the NFL this millennium, they don’t bitch or complain, they do their f’n jobs!

They take the hottest girl in the bar home and make that sweet, sweet Lombardi love then kick her out at the break of dawn….

Signed,

Patriots fans who don’t give a flying f*ck about the haters, deflaters & spygaters (ode to Fitzy), we will just enjoy getting drunk on the tears of our enemies!
