Hamilton County Jail authorities said Irsay was arrested late Sunday night by Carmel police. He was booked at 3 a.m. Monday morning in the jail.
Irsay faces preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.
His bond is set at $22,500, with his bond hearing set for 1:30 p.m. in Hamilton County.
In October 2013, Irsay tweeted that he doesn't drink alcohol.

In 2002, Irsay admitted to a past dependence on painkillers and said he had undergone treatment.
RTV6's Rafael Sanchez talked to a spokesperson for Irsay. They said a statement would be released on Irsay's arrest sometime Monday morning.

He looks like he's lost a lot of weight. Oxycontin is a controlled substance that makes users lose weight. Just saying...

He just recently had some hip and back problems. Couple that with a divorce and it's a pretty good recipe for a relapse. I'm not making excuses though, just giving a little background for those who care.

Jim made a mistake and he'll have to deal with the consequences of it. I'm not personally going to rake him over coals because we're all human and we all make mistakes. I hope he gets some help to get back on the wagon.

Now back to your regularly scheduled gloating.

IF that was Jonathon Kraft, how would you react?

I understand the ups and downs of addiction, so I won't pass judgment on a relapse if that's what his situation is.

What I will pass judgment on is the fact that he has gazillions of dollars, certainly enough to hire a driver or take a taxi. That's what his players are expected to do.

Kravitz from Indy Star appeared on WEEI a few minutes ago and confirms your observation. Irsay has lost alot of weight the past few years. Kravitz asked Irsay about it and Irsay said he was under dr's orders to lose weight because of back and hip problems.

Kravitz also said that for the past 1.5-2.0 years there has been a concern running throughout the Colts organization regarding Irsay. He has had trouble speaking and collecting his thoughts. Many off the record said the Irsay was headed for trouble.

Yeah based on what I know that seems to be the case. Not sure though.

I'm with you 100% on not calling a cab though. Wasn't smart.

When I was being serious, pretty much the same way. Doesn't mean I wouldn't get in some teasing of course.
I would rip Pats ownership.

for some crazy reason this is not a shock, almost like sooner or later you knew somthing was going to happen.

I was hoping it was hookers and coke but I knew he was a train wreck from his tweets.
