IT’S VRABEL!!!!

Hopefully, Vrabel will persuade Kraft and Wolf to abandon their bargain basement free agency and Patriots draft strategy, as it has been ineffective for years and has resulted in a lack of skill players, with the exception of Maye and Gonzo.
Babooshka only knows one way…🤣

Regarding 'final say'. Bill did not have final say since before the 2019 draft. He had strong input but final say was by collaboration and majority vote. Caserio headed up the draft in
2019 and 2020, when the collaborative was Caserio, Bill and Groh. Then in '21 it became Wolf, Groh and Bill. For '24 it was Wolf, Groh and Highsmith.
The downward spiral flush

Hence that shot we saw a bill asking if everybody was in on Mac Jones. Wow thanks @chevss.
Mac was lil Jon’s pick.

Also, ShitShooter…

I bet BB wanted to keep Meyers. He wasn’t awesome (hit an obvious plateau), but, ShitShooter was a terrible free agency sign “replacement”…

Forgot where I heard this,,

"The OC is only as good as is his Oline coach."

Mike Vrabel on the edge he'll bring to the New England Patriots
Vrabel is know as a edgy, no-nonsense coach that connects with his players and everyone in the building. He fought back a little bit on the "no-nonsense" bit, however.

"I don't mind the nonsense. I have some sense, I think," he joked. "The edge is just part of what comes with it. There are some ups and downs, hopefully more ups. But I'm pretty authentic, I would say. I've learned that if I like you, I probably love you. Whatever the alternative is to that, I don't know.

"I love coaching football," Vrabel continued. "I realized that a year in Cleveland in a consulting role is not something I can envision doing. I want to lead at the highest level and help people. I want to put a program together. Every day that I come here my whole goal is to build a program with my coaches, staff, and players that they're proud of and want to be a part of, and most importantly, that they're going to protect. That's what I want to do for the players."

Mike Vrabel on Drake Maye
Maye was the biggest selling point for any head coaching candidate in New England, and Vrabel is excited to get to work with the second-year QB.

"He's exciting, talented, ready to learn and ready to continue to develop. He's athletic and mobile, has the ability to make throws to all part of the field with arm talent," he said. "But every year is a new process. There will be some new terminology, and some carryover from what he's had. I know that he's ready to learn and is excited. We welcome that and want him to lead our football team."

This article popped up on my Google search thingy.
It was written by report who covers the Jets for one of the NY newspapers.
This reporter talked to someone high in the Jets organization. According to this insider, Woody Johnson, owner of the Jets, was totally blow away by the Vrable interview, like no other.
He was prepared to offer Vrable compete control of the entire football operation, including all personnel and spending, and whatever Mike wanted for pay.
Johnson was really upset when Mike interviewed with Kraft, according to this reporter.
I'd post the article but had to leave the site and could not find it later.

Connor Hughes I think is your author. It's a good article and well worth reading but this one is better.

Yes, that was essentially what I read but I'm sure it wasn't from boston.com. It was from the NY Post.
Doesn't matter, because the source for the article was the same.
