IT’S VRABEL!!!!

An RB with some juice would certainly help the Oline, make life much easier for Maye when under center, and make play action a credible threat.
I dunno if Stevenson got paid and lost a step, or was uninterested playing for a SH***T team, or was protecting himself, or dinged up, but at a minimum he needs a guy pushing him. I’d like to see a guy added who can make him expendable.

Notable what Vrabel says at the end. That sentiment hits differently.

— Vrabel to reporters on what he’s thankful for this year

“My family. I think that having them here this week is going to be good, going to be nice. And then I would say the opportunity to coach this team. I think the players, the coaches, the staff. That’s what I’m thankful for. Got some good friends that have helped along the years. How about you guys? I appreciate you guys. I’m thankful for you guys.”

He's very smart. Tom Curran was saying that on an interview on Rich Eisen's show. Vrabel treats the journos well, he said, gives them just enough to keep them happy. It's smart by Vrabel.

I didn't view Vrabel's comments on the calls as whining as much as I did foreshadowing against more BS going forward. Same with any grievance letters to Vegas league offices.

Mike was not happy with the officiating yesterday. He didn't use it as an excuse but let it known that it didn't go unnoticed.
Yes, following a highly controversial Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills in December 2025, NFL fans, players, and media called for an investigation into Head Referee John Hussey's officiating crew due to several questionable pass interference calls and missed holding calls, particularly a pivotal play that gifted the Bills the lead, though reports of an official NFL investigation launch are mixed with fan speculation and social media posts.
Key Controversies:
  • Shakir Catch/PI Call: A controversial defensive pass interference penalty against Marcus Jones on Khalil Shakir's catch in the red zone led to a go-ahead touchdown for the Bills, with many feeling the flag was late and the play should've been an interception or incomplete pass.
  • Missed Holding Calls: Patriots players and fans noted numerous uncalled holding fouls against the Bills, especially on their defensive line, which frustrated New England.
  • Inconsistent Flagging: Critics pointed out inconsistent application of penalties, with flags thrown against the Patriots for minor contact while similar or worse infractions by Bills players went uncalled.
Reactions & Aftermath:
  • Patriots' Frustration: Patriots players, including Marcus Jones and former linebacker Dont'a Hightower, publicly voiced their frustration with the officiating.
  • Fan Uproar: Social media exploded with accusations of a "rigged" game and demands for NFL investigation into Hussey's crew.
  • Media Scrutiny: Sports sites highlighted the officiating errors as a significant factor in the Patriots' collapse and loss.
While fan and media outcry was intense and calls for an investigation were widespread, reports confirm widespread dissatisfaction, but official confirmation of a formal NFL probe into Hussey's crew remains a primary point of speculation and social media chatter.

Fauria must have been pissed that the SB TD passes went to Vrabel instead of him.
Agreed, but in watching those 10, Vrabel was Brady‘s favorite receiver. (the open receiver)

"When we always get together for the first time, he always goes around the table and gets an update on what everybody's kids are into. Then all through the year, he remembers everything. You're walking up and down the hall and it's, 'How's Taj doing in hockey? How's Savannah doing in basketball?' So he's really into the family part of it. Then in Tennessee, the day we broke for the summer, he had a huge party at his house for everybody. He had food trucks. Face painting. Activities for the kids to do. Pool. Basketball. Just like we did this year with Halloween -- with kids, players, families -- and the coaches handed out candy and there were all big blow-up slides and jump houses. When he talks about family, you see he really means it."

...

"My daughter was in ninth grade in Tennessee, she played basketball, we're in the gym, me and my wife are sitting there. Here comes Mike and his wife [Jen]. And Frank [Piraino] and his wife. They're just stopping by to watch a ninth-grade girls basketball game. A lot of people talk about family and caring about people, but here's the head coach of the Tennessee Titans showing up at a ninth-grade girls basketball game. That means a lot."

What I love the most about the interview is when Mike said he wanted the players to really enjoy it - the success. And he believed that they have enjoyed it. As wonderful as our run 20+ year run was, I always hated that team mantra was "on to the next game." I get it in one way as no one was satisfied and Brady was a psycho competitor but as a fan I really like when coaches and players take time to smell the roses. It is really hard to make it to the conference championship game especially when yuou only won 4 games the year prior. I am really happy for all them and glad they are enjoying it.
