J C Jackson

LOL this is EXACTLY what treadmill teams do. They make trades, after season altering injuries, to grasp for wins that do nothing for you. Thankfully he kind of sucks now so that's okay, but what a terrible move. Absolutely terrible.

How is it terrible?

They're paying him nothing, gave up almost nothing to get him, and he's better than Myles Bryant or Shaun Wade. Ir's actually pretty smart. He can only play one CB position though, and isn't exactly an all-pro, but at least they can still play passable defense instead of becoming a terrible one.

You can't actually expect Belichick/Kraft to sit back and tank, can you? Whether or not you and I think that they should, you have to know they're not going to do that, right?

Shawn Wade and Myles Bryant agree.

No one else does. We basically gave up nothing and got a guy who did very well in our system for several years, and the Chargers are paying most of the tab.

Well this is true and it sucks that it's in the worst interest of the team. At some point, Kraft needs to wake up and smell the roses. You go after guys like JC in the offseason. Not at the beginning of a very highly probable franchise altering season.

I only read as far as, "bad teams make trades after a player goes on IR."

Then I remembered that the purpose of the post wasn't to discuss the Pats, but to bash them in any/every way possible.

And if the Pats were winning and traded for talon after needing a DB this comment would be

LOL this is EXACTLY what winning teams do. They make trades, after season altering injuries, to maintain the leave of excellence for wins that the Jets do nothing for you. Thankfully he kind of sucks in the wrong scheme, without the proper coaching Bill and his sons gave him. What a terrible move if you hate the Patriots,. Absolutely terrible.

I took the comment to be that JC Jackson might help them win, which would lower their draft stock.

Which is not something I agree with. Teams have to learn how to win, but they can also learn how to lose.

BTW there's an overhyped USC QB this year so the J-E-T-S are going to have to get him.

and that is something that's hard to unlearn.

He might be overhyped, but if you've watched him play lately and have noticed any significant flaws then
please share them, because I have yet to see a fucking thing he can't seem to do at a high-to-elite level. He'll be
the number one overall unless he's a serial killer or a drug lord, Besides, the Jets will win just enough to
miss out on him.

I'm a little surprised there isn't MORE hype about him, but maybe Taylor Swift has temporarily sucked all the
electrons out of the internet.

I don't know anything about what kind of leader or person he is, but, between the lines he's the most advanced
and complete QB I've seen since Goober Luck. Maybe Manning or Elway. One of those guys. I suppose I better wait
until I see him play against the best Ds in college, which I have not, but he's a ridiculous talent.

All true but he is still a USC QB and history says the next level is difficult.

That’s exactly correct. He is rooting against the Patriots and wants them to lose. He claims it helps their draft position but we all know he just hates Belichick for letting Brady walk away and he wants Bill gone.
