Kickin' it off:

The following players are inactive for the Patriots today:

QB Matt Gutierrez (3rd quarterback)
WR Chad Jackson
S Rashad Baker
S James Sanders
RG Stephen Neal
C/G Billy Yates
WR Troy Brown
TE Benjamin Watson

-------------------------------------------

Of interest, there is no "true" backup offensive guards on the roster today. Mankins, Koppen, or Hochstein go down, and they'll be replaced by a tackle.

Inactive players for the Jets today:

QB Marques Tuiasosopo (3rd quarterback)
WR Chris Davis

Every hated Boston "rival" should have a Kareem on it: manlaw?

Reiss reports on the kicking game:

The rainy, windy conditions should have a significant impact on the kicking game.

Watching warmups, kicker Stephen Gostkowski was barely clearing the crossbar on 40-yard attempts while kicking to the open end of the stadium. He had a little more distance while kicking to the closed end of the stadium, but with field position figuring to be key today, it would be surprising to see field-goal attempts longer than 40 yards today.

Is today the day Maroney earns his paycheck?
