Joe Milton Traded to Cowboys

Mike Reiss..
Milton follow-up: The modest draft-pick compensation (fifth round) the Patriots received in trading backup quarterback Joe Milton III and a seventh-rounder to the Cowboys on Thursday sparks a question as to why they did it. Milton looked like an asset at the game's most important position following his season-ending performance in a win over the Bills (playing mostly backups), especially considering Drake Maye was twice evaluated for concussions in games last season.

The timing, according to a source familiar with the team's thinking, wasn't a coincidence. Monday marks the start of the team's voluntary program, and Vrabel views that as a meaningful checkpoint in the process of establishing team culture and the dynamic that ideally unfolds within each position group.
Maye's family were bitching and whining when the Pats drafted Milton... :coffee:

I have nothing against Milton. I wish him the best at Dallas even though I dislike the Cowboys a lot.
But all this other bullshit is getting to be like The Real Housewives of Foxboro.

It might not just be Maye. It’s very possible the coaching staff doesn’t want to deal with the questions that will come if the team 4 and 6 ten weeks into the season.

I heard that Milton and/or his agent had been making a bunch of noise after the season.

Notice that the Rams weren't willing to offer more than Cowboys did even with AVP on their staff.

Eh, as far as guys who made their bones as local sports radio callers, Dakota has had his moments.

Who the fuck cares what Dakota from Braintree says? Guy is an asshat.

Never heard of him, but, if you "made your bones" waiting on hold and pretending you have "sources", I'm glad I haven't.
