Sorry guys. I know how much Pats Nation loved Jules & it does suck when one of the truly good guys hangs it up. Anyone that is a fan of the game of football should appreciate his toughness & his unparalleled work ethic. I know I do.

Pro Football HOF. Is there a chance?

Tough for WRs with the HoF. The voting has also gotten strange over the years and petty. You won't find a more clutch receiver in the post-season IMO. I know he is technically behind Rice but Rice never made a catch with 3 guys draped on him with 4 arms and 2 feet covering the ball while having to re-catch the ball before it hit the ground. Best, all-time catch I have ever seen in any game much less a SB.

 

I figured there must have been more to why they released him and had him take a physical they knew he would fail. Class move by Kraft and Bill to help Jules get the injury protection benefit. I had no idea about that benefit. Must have been negotiated in the last CBA.

As I was writing this note, Vivi saw the first picture and said “daddy, tell Julian to cut his beard, I don’t like it”...which of course Jules, she never did like it....but you know who did...Me!! Because it meant you were locked in and it was playoff time. That was when you shined the most. On the biggest stage and in the biggest moments, you always came through.

I was a witness to so much of the journey and am so proud of you and how you grew from 7th round underdog to an older 7th round underdog. The truth is, you never really grew up ! You never lost that chip on your shoulder. You never let anyone define you as a person or player. You have so many teammates that admired your work ethic and will to win, and I am at the top of the list because when I was down and feeling sorry for myself at times, you were right there to pick me up. You were as tough as could be and I love you for all that you did to make our teams as great as they could possibly be.


Seeing you become a dad and the changes you made in your life made me so encouraged and happy for you. Life is about gratitude and perspective! I am so happy for you and your family. You had an amazing football journey, an amazing life journey in New England, and I have no doubt you will succeed in anything you choose to do next! LFG

You have to love when guys like Edelman, a Californian kid, comes to a completely different place like Boston and becomes one of their own. He's as Boston now as they come. Going forward, I want to see reports of him in a Bruins shirt getting into flights in Dunkin's while smoking a pack of Parliaments.

In 4-5 years he'll be in the discussion. The Patriots HOF for his contributions to the Dynasty II is a certainty and well deserved. He'll have very lofty company there with him.

JE11 has always loved producing videos. He'll capitalize on the skills he learned along the way and one day soon we'll see him doing it professionally whether he's in front of or behind the camera directing.
