Streamago is the new interactive live broadcasting tool from Tiscali. So it says on the tin, but what that actually means is it’s yet another example of what used to require expensive equipment now being available as a free web service such us streamago video download online– in this case the ability to run a live broadcast over the web.
You can use an iPhone or iPad, or a PC’s webcam, to do the filming and rather than, say, saving the footage up to YouTube for others to subsequently watch, instead you can broadcast live.
You can sign up it and get viewing the various channels either via your Facebook account or by registering a separate account, kept away from Facebook integration.
I can’t say I was won over by the content currently available via this would-be TV rival: heavily non-English (which may be a plus for some of course) and so far, not very compelling:
But then the first YouTube film was hardly an obvious winner telling us that elephants have really really long trunks.
