Looking at the Patriots - 2019

Any fines would have been announced earlier in the week

And now from Ian Rapaport, reasons for no fine

It was determined Jones turned his shoulder to stop the runner (who is not defenseless), while the runner is being tackled, falling forward and down.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 5, 2019

Which also means that there should not have been a flag on the play.

And.. just wow . Rational explanation from NFL. Amazing.. and I wonder if there was a. " P.S. dummy Allen didn't slide. "

Fuck Fouts... I'm sorry but TB seems to be melting down over the AB fiasco and having to deal with rookies. Have you read the stories about his deposition? AB needs much help. WTF with Watson? Is he about to retire? Oline is a near disaster.... Multiple key injuries. I'm not feeling good about how any of this is developing. No cap space. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat to see how BB addresses all of it.

My god. The Pat's got this. 20 years and we have learned nothing.

But fouts said…..

Flags are flags. Judgment calls that are not perfect. Oh I forgot , now the refs are supposed to be perfect or we sit around for 5 minutes while it is discussed in NYC. Somehow the old system seems better.. :tmack:

As weird as it seems, the defense looks amazing...it's like the Pats went 180 on all of us.

Right So go back to early last year and get the people who said the "defense sucks " and get those same people to say now... THE OFFENSE SUCKS. I'll give you a hundred bucks if you can do that. Haha:D

Offense does not really suck though. 31 ppg is not a suck make. In fact after today, they are averaging as much as the almighty cant be stopped chiefs. The offense is a bit banged up though, Oline, receivers, etc. I have seen years where the D players dropped like flies, it seems its the offense this year, but hopefully that gets better.

No but its relative.

The people crying about the defense sucking were brady undies wearing fan boys. So now its the offense relative to the defense...get it ?:cool:

Only 2 unbeaten teams left, Pats and Niners.
Pats have layups the next 2 weeks (NYG, @NYJ).

the @NYJ isn't a layup, it's one of the games I had penciled in as a loss before the season began. I think the Patriots can win that game, they're much better than I had expected, but still.

- Their QB should be back from Mono and very well rested
- It's a division game, and they're backed in a corner like a wounded animal
- @Jets in the past 10 years the Patriots are 6-4. On the road division games are tough, regardless of relative standings.
- Our offensive line is still Struggling, and struggling hard. Nothing is guaranteed with a weak offensive line, and we can't get back Wynn for at minimum another 3 weeks.

If we win both those games and vs the Browns I'd be ecstatic, especially if the Chiefs drop another game in that period. But I wouldn't characterize the Jets as a layup, regardless of their record.
