Looking at the Patriots 2024

This is the kind of propaganda that’s now being peddled from Kraft Central.

Sounds like the folks making the decisions won’t include Matt Groh, which sounds good to me.

While some of this sounds good on paper, I am waiting for the real test this Fall. #NotGettingExcitedUntilThen

I was right about Mac and the team needing to tank, just they didn't do quite enough. I have the equal strong feeling that with a solid draft and FA focusing on the offense, this team will be in the divisional round this season.

Thats also if Mayo has head coaching chops and the staff is good. Thats a major X factor.

You were wrong about Mac. Who would have conceived that the GOAT was putting Mac's demise ahead of the team?

He was.

Killed both. WOW.

Mac sucks. BB should have been allowed to trade him, just as he wanted to.

Yes, BB should have been allowed to trade Mac. I agree 100%.

Would have been better for all involved if he had. Especially the players that had to deal with the consequences of Kraft interfering. BB made sure failure was the only option.

You don't have to want or like Mac as a player to see what happened now.

You don't have dislike BB (he is the GOAT) to understand what he did either. It is obvious. It is not the first time BB made a seemingly emotional and poor critical thinking decision that cost the entire team. When it comes to BB you must take into account the genius and doofus decisions.

Malcom Butler says hello.

Pats pulpit saying pats released lawrence guy and adrian phillips. Can’t link as saw story on apple news. Will try to find linkable story

edit - here it is

Expected.

Guy isn't as good as he once was. Pacing becomes an issue when defenders hit 32-34, especially the big guys like Guy.
Phillips played less than 20% of snaps last year.

I have a better picture of Jonathan. You are welcome to use it as your avatar.

It appears Trent Brown's contract voided yesterday. The Patriots are moving on from him.
I also expect Jalen Mills' contract to void.
James Ferentz retired.

So Guy, Phillips, Trent Brown, Jalen Mills and Ferentz are gone.

I expect JC Jackson and Mac Jones will be gone soon enough.

Rap released a report yesterday that says the Pats are actively trying to trade Mac.

Lawrence Guy wasn't a flashy guy, but he was an excellent player and leader for us who did his job very well
for a number of years. He's been a bargain for what he gave us. The world will always need ditch diggers and he
was sort of the NFL equivalent of that although he filled holes rather than emptying them.

This is the right time to move on from him, though. It's time.

Happy Trails, Lawrence.

A nice tribute from the guys on Patriots Unfiltered to Guy's wife who apparently is a really great person and did so much charity work in the area and brought a lot of the Patriots people along with her. Players like Guy and his missus contributed a lot more than simply playing. Bill to his huge credit, has a proud history of recruiting people of immense calibre who do a lot more than just play the game.
