I don't love Restrepo, he's a slower Pop Douglas. Martinez is a Blount-type back, I dunno if he's a particularly good one, he doesn't have Blount's top-end speed. I think they have two better running backs on the roster, and he only kinda starts because he was a portal kid.
Arroyo's going to be a superstar.
Tyler Baron could be very good, has a lot of raw tools, but he's raw, he needs coaching desperately.
Jalen Rivers could be the scoutee here - 5th year senior Left Tackle, 6'5" 325. Good hands. decent feet, could definitely be improved against speedier rushers, but he really holds up very well with a good punch against power rushers - and is a Roadgrader (tm) in the run game. He's a victim of scheme (air raid) and some pretty piss-poor coaching, if you want my real opinion. He's a Day 3 guy now, but he'll get into a post-season senior game and flash, I could see him as a late 2nd, early 3rd Day 2 guy right now, and a ton, TON of potential.
You all want Highsmith there, and scouting these kids he recruited. Especially since they're all 4 and 5 stars. If we get a couple Miami kids on the roster the next few years, we gon' be alright. They've recruited incredibly well over the last 3 years especially, despite the actual performance on the field. And Highsmith had a hand in recruiting all of them. This is why I hope and pray he can get a couple of his kids here without Eliot Wolf noticing, if this year's draft is any indication.
