I m not convinced yet. Just when I see a glimmer he throws a dumb pass. This week we were in the game despite him or the fumble by running backs. our defense won the game IMHO. He did some good things …but not enough he needs more consistency and a running game.

He’s still inaccurate in some of his throws he should’ve had 3 interceptions and a fumble. I think we need to pump the brakes a bit there’s plenty of room for improvement could he improve sure but it’s only game 3….

I think he has a better chance than most to be a top 5 QB. But to be truly elite he needs to show command of ball placement: protecting his receivers, making them better, and throwing them into position to get YAC. Right now he's only intermittently showing even control, never mind command.

I also need to see ice in his veins and killer instinct, rising to the moment and going into full boot on throat mode. I can live with the jumpy early game stuff if it comes with Terminator Mode when you've gotta have it.

I'm ahead on where I was last year on Drake. I really want to press the buy button but I'm still not totally sold yet.

Exactly! Could he develop into an elite QB absolutely…..he’s just not there yet…not even close. You put it much better than I did lol.

That’s the issue every QB will be set up for failure . If you Compare them to Brady . I much rather him have a Bledsoe type of career . He had some big wins & stats in New England.

The Patriots are a team defined by extremes. Their run defense is elite, but their pass defense is near the bottom. Their offense can move the chains and string plays together, but red-zone efficiency and explosiveness are lacking. Maye thrives against man coverage and Cover 0, but when protection breaks down, play-calling is limited. Don’t get me wrong—the Patriots are competitive and can hang with opponents. But their coverage busts, a lack of chunk plays, penalties and turnovers are holding them back.

If he's out due to prostate cancer, I assume it is on the aggressive side. He is 51 which is pretty young to be diagnosed. His biopsy will determine the stage and aggressiveness (it's called a Gleason score).

I was diagnosed this year, at 64, which is still considered to be on the young side. My Gleason score is low, meaning it's confined to the gland and is not aggressive. It has not impacted my life at all up to this point. I will be having it removed in a couple of months. If I was in my 70's or older, the recommendation would be to do nothing since I would likely pass of old age before the cancer progressed to be a risk to life. But given my relative young age, it will likely become aggressive in the future, so may as well just get it out and not worry about it again.

So if Williams is being held out, it's probably advanced enough to take immediate action. The success rate for Prostate cancer, even in more advanced stages is very high.

I read a study yesterday that showed the Pats are most effective when in 1 TE sets. Maybe that's bc of these heavy fronts they are facing in 12 personnel.

That’s a deceiving stat.
The RB position is going to be number one in touches, especially in this offense that tends to target the RB.
Is Diggs going to get 8 targets and 10 carries? Of course not and the same goes for Henry or Boutte.
I want him to be the featured back to start the game. Not the third option after the other two guys have lost it. He was only getting about 30 percent of the snaps until Mondre and Gibson fumbled themselves to the bench.
You don’t draft an RB at 38. 38! If you can’t feature him close to right away. Unless he’s just a third down back, and you don’t draft a guy who’s just a third down back at 38.
Hopefully that changes this week. The panthers are vulnerable to outside runs, and have some good defenders between the tackles. It should suit what Henderson does best.
They need to get Henderson and Williams going. Presumably these guys are going to be foundational players moving forward. The vets are making huge mistakes, so get the rookies in and let them learn. Look at what Scattaboo is doing with a chance.
